Dodge Charger 1968 Description
I have up for auction my 1968 Dodge Charge, let me start by saying I am notgoing to sugar coat this ad by explaining the history ofa 68 Charger or tell you this is the best car on the planet in hopes of luring in some sucke, its pretty cut and dry what you are looking at and if you know what you are looking at its quite easy to see how nice this car really is,this caris NOT a numbers matching ca, it is an R/T but none of the drivetrain is original to this ca, now with that said this isan absolutely beautiful car that went through an incredible no expense spared rotisserie restoration back in 199, the fellow I bought the car from owned a large body shop and restored this car for himself and did an incredible job as the bottom of the car is just as nice as the top... the car has a mid 70s 440 in it with a pretty stout camshaft and a six pack setup, 727 transmission and a 3:54 Dana rear end out bac, the floors and frame are original and in incredible conditionlook closely at the undercarriage pics as while the car is filthyit is quite obvious how nice this car really i, I have owned this car for about 15 years and it really is a beautiful ca, unfortunately I just don't drive it enough to enjoy i, I think I pulled it out of the garage one time during the whole last year and since I was doing abunch of construction work at my house this along with all the other cars is covered in dus, I could not even wash it for the pics because everything out here is mud and my driveway is dirt and1/4 mile long, unfortunately it is very hard to keep a car this nice as clean underneath as it deserves to be when you live off a 1/4 mile long dirt drivewayhence another reason I have decided to part with it asbothers me that I just cant clean it and keep it clean like it wasintended to be..so please excuse the mud on the tires from when I had to pull it out the other day to take pics... this car is super straight with extremely nice paint top to bottom front to back as you can tell everything is covered in nice smooth paint and not being covered in Undercoating to hide anythinglike many cars you see for sale toda, all the chrome is like new since it was all replaced or replated when the car was restored and it has been summer driven and garage kept ever since the resto, car runs and drives grea, the power steering does leak when it sits for awhil, I noticed the center carb on the 6bbl was flooding out when I pulled it out of the garage the other day and I had to keep it running by feathering the ga, thehas pwr steerin, pwrdisk front brake, bucket, consol, factory tach (not working) , 15x7 magnum 500 wheels with Coker radial redline tire, has original Charger onlyBumper Jack in trunk, original AM/FMradio nothooked upbecause there is a CD player hidden in glovebo, I don't know what else to say about this car aside from the fact that the pics speak volumes about how nice this car really is and its filthy in most of the, Car needs a little TLC, mostly a good cleaning a major tune up and probably the center carb rebuilt , there is NO Broadcast sheet or fender tag,my reserve is set at 45k and any serious questions can call me at 203 -305-0527 Chuck I live in Connecticut and Connecticut does not issue Titles for cars over 25yrs old so there is NO Title but I do have a registration since I have had this carregistered in my name for the past 15yrs, car is sold as is where is and will not leave my possession until it is paid for in full and funds have cleare, I have sold several high end cars on here and the new owners have been very happy.... Over seas buyers are fine but please don't bid unless you have the money and intend on purchasing the car.... again any Serious questions can call me at 203-305-0527 Chuc, Thanks and good luck... I do reserve the right to shut down the auction at any time as this carhas also been listed for sale locally...On Dec-31-16 at 18:15:00 PST, seller added the following information:I have had many questions on this car alread, Thanks for the interes, the car is painted in aturquois color not B5 blu, I believe it is a pretty close match to the orig LL1 Turquois that came on these cars but is done in a base/clear do not know what color it was originally as this car has no fender tag or build sheet... as far as a buy it now pric, I do not have one in min, I set the reserve at 45k and I knowI cant buy andrestore another one to the level of this car for that kind of money again so I guess I am just gonna see where the auction goes unless someone shows up at my door with a pile of money..... Yes you can make an appointment with me to view the car in person I would recommend it even as unless you are looking for a date coded trailer queen this car should make just about anybody happy as a very, very nice driver...
