This is an unfinished project in good condition, for parts or repair.
The truck appears to be original, and does not appear to have been severely damaged, molested, or modified.
The truck is equipped with it's original 118ci flat head engine, 3-speed manual transmission, and rear axle.
THE ENGINE:
Has been thoroughly run, and inspected, and appears to be overall in good condition.
Has good compression figures, good oil pressure and does not smoke.
Does not show signs of excessive oil consumption.
Does not make any abnormal noises.
Does not show any signs of a cracked block or cylinder head, nor does it show any signs of a leaking head gasket.
Does not appear to miss-fire, back-fire, or diesel, and does not appear to have any performance problems, however, the engine does not idle properly, and sometimes stalls when cold.
It is likely that the fuel system, and carburetor will need some attention.
The cooling system has been inspected, and tested, and appears to be in good condition with no leaks, or system problems.
THE TRANSMISSION:
Does not appear to have any shifting problems.
Does not appear to make any abnormal noises, or vibrations.
Does not appear to have any cracks, or damage to the case, or bell housing.
The clutch fully engages, and disengages as designed without slipping, binding, or grinding.
THE BRAKES:
The hydraulic brake system is not working.
It is likely that the master cylinder needs to be rebuilt, or replaced.
The parking brakes are working, and appear to be in good condition.
It should be assumed that the truck has no brakes, and is not safe to operate in it's current condition.
ELECTRICAL:
The generator has been tested, and appears to be in good working condition.
The battery has been replaced, and appears to be in good working condition.
The starter has been tested, and appears to be in good working condition.
The ignition system has been tested, and inspected, and appears to be in good working condition.
THE INTERIOR:
The interior appears to be complete, original, and in fair / salvageable condition.
The gauges, dash lights, and warning lights appear to be fully functional, and in good condition.
The speedometer, and odometer are in good working condition, and appear to provide accurate readings.
The windshield wipers are not working / functional, and will need repairs.
The heater has been tested, and appears to be in good working condition.
The floor boards will need replacement / corrective repairs.
The seat has not been uncovered, or inspected, however it should be assumed that the original seat foam, and fabric will need to be replaced.
The window regulators, and door latch handles have been tested, and inspected, and appear to be in good working condition.
THE CHASSIS:
Does not appear to be severely rusted, or rotten, and does not appear to have been bent, damaged, or repaired.
THE CAB:
Appears to be fairly straight, and complete, however some rust, and rot in areas like the floor boards, steps, and fenders.
The windows / glass are all hazy, and / or cracked, and will need to be replaced.
The cab does not appear to have been re-painted or had any body work performed, and appears to be in it's original factory finish.
THE BOX:
Appears to be fairly straight, and complete.
Some large dents on the top of the tailgate.
The wood bed is severely weathered, and rotten, and will need to be replaced.
The background, and history of the truck are unknown, however it appears as if truck was well cared for, and preserved.
It has been stored for a very long time, and it is likely that will need another through inspection, and some repairs to be road worthy again.
Overall I feel this would make a great project truck.
There is a lot of truck left to work with, and with a few minor parts, and some time, this truck would be a road worthy machine again.
I think the truck would make a solid foundation for a full restoration, resto-mod, or even a rat rod / hot rod.
