1994 Regular Cab utility bed Dodge Ram 3500 1 ton automatic transmission 4x4 pickup truck.
Runs, drives, shifts really well. I just went though every single fluid in the vehicle. I have driven vehicle approximately 2000 miles to date. I bought the truck for my uncle. He was very excited about it and I explained it does not have air conditioning. I brought the truck down to Louisiana for him and he explained he wanted a truck with AC, so this has to go. For sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction ahead of time. I have a couple videos of the truck if you go to youtube.com and type cblfhs you will see them. first go to youtube(.com) then add this right after that "/watch?v=jxkZnoe2n6c&feature=youtu.be"118,500 original miles. The truck was originally a PA utility company (AT&T) truck. It has been a service truck for the first 115k miles. Next it sat in a barn for a few years. I bought it from a dude in Pa who said he only owned it for 4 or 5 months and he was downsizing and didn't need it.
I have:- Added gear oil in front axle 85W90.-Removed oil gear in the rear axle and added new 85W140-Removed transmission pan and filter and added fresh Transmission fluid and filter-Removed auto trans fluid from the transfer case and added new-Brand new engine oil and filter-Brand new fuel filter-Changed valve stem on RR tires and replaced all 4 rear valve stems and tire with new tires. Rear tires ~50%, front tires ~35% good for another 12,000 miles.-Changed front brake calipers, pads, and rubber brake hoses.-Added exhaust clamp to seal leak (see picture)-Peplaced 1 of the two batteries with a brand new 1000CCA HD battery, the 2nd battery is strong
Things I didn't get done for my uncle before he decided he didn't want the truck:-Install brand new rocker panels (Rockauto $200, included with truck)-Install brand new exhaust system - not needed, the exhaust sounds good and isn't too loud or quiet, clamp on, from the downpipe back is all brand new and utilizes the factory mounts, which are all there and in good shape. The exhaust system is from Rockauto and was $250, included with truck-Install new door lock cylinders ($16 rockauto, included with the truck)-Install new license plate light (included with the truck)-paint (I had a dude in Indiana who paints on the side, his shop was going to charge $1000 for the rocker install and new white paint, I was going to bring this to the Kenner, Louisiana Maaco and get a quote, but haven't yet, I can do this prior to sale or on a test drive with you)
Pros:-Bone stock Cummins turbo diesel with 118K. Ever seen a PPump 12-valve Cummins with this low-of miles?-NO DASH CRACKS-really nice tool bed/ utility/workbox-the tool boxes are massive, they lock (from both sides) and from the back of the truck with any lock (combo lock or key lock from harbor freight, for example),-Transmission shifts really really well.-"PPump" P-7100 Bosch all mechanical industrial fuel injection pump-100% stock, no modifications (as the exhaust hasn't been put on yet).-brand new front brakes, stops really well, drives pretty darn nice for a big old wide dually-Minimal rust in the bed, one tool box door has a tiny bit of rust as pictured, but the bed is really super solid-4x4 works great-Great fuel economy, 14-16 in-town depending on how slow you accelerate and 19 on the highway going 62mph.-4.10 gears really great for towing!-New rockers-Mechanical fuel system- extremely reliable truck-Mechanical windows and locks, nothing to brake-Bench seat- really nice shape!
Cons:-Need to install new rockers-No AC-No power options-No cruise-Need to install license plate light-Need to paint after you install new rockers-Need to install new door lock cylinders in the doors and license plate light-Crack in the windshield-Headliner stained a little and beginning to want to begin coming down in the front by the windshield, but it is a 6/10
(If you want me to paint this truck first, I can, call me).
Test drives welcome in Kenner, Louisiana.
Deliver possible, must contact me ahead of time, will likely deliver for 1.50$/loaded mile. I don't want to drive it to Washington state but the truck will drive anywhere you want to go. It is made for towing and cruises comfy at around 55-65 mph on the hwy so the engine isn't screaming - RPM wise, diesels get extremely good fuel economy at low speeds. email me for a phone number or setup a test drive, or if you have questions you need me to answer prior to your bid.
TY, please respect each others time and read this page over twice before you bid.On Jun-05-16 at 18:26:46 PDT, seller added the following information:
sorry for the spelling errors.
On Jun-06-16 at 10:32:20 PDT, seller added the following information:The above should state that the rear tires were replaced with used tires. They are not new, the rear tires are used but good for another 25,000 miles. The front tires probably have 12,500 miles before needing replacement. I also replaced the wiper blades, air filter, flushed coolant system and installed new Thermostat and coolant, and changed the diesel fuel filter.
Simply stated: changed the engine oil and filter every 5,000 miles, and then during every OTHER oil change: replace the diesel fuel filter and the air filter too, along with the trans service (drop trans pan, drain the 4-5 qts that come out, replace filter, replace fluid), and this truck will last another 400,000 and you can give it to your grandson.
The auto transmission is very strong and the only future modification I would recommend is a trans fluid gauge (if you plan to tow a lot); keep that transmission from overheating and this truck will be good for 2 more lifetimes. Any ?s or to setup a test drive, please don't hesitate to contact me.
I might add that I cannot let this truck self for less than $4,500 despite what you auction may say that the end. You can see I have good feedback and I have been and eBay member for a long time but I am between jobs and this truck is worth and least that with the little miles come test drive it for yourself
