Dodge Power Wagon 1970 Description
Rare old truck up for no reserve auction. This is a 1970 Dodge W200 Powerwagon. It's a numbers matching truck (VIN plate, chassis, title). I bought this truck out west in it's current condition as a partial restoration with full intentions on completing it and turning it into a nice weekend cruiser. Unfortunately, I am just finishing up the W600 that you see in the background and simply don't have the time at this stage of my life to finish another project. Most of the hard work as been done already. The body was pulled off the frame and the frame was sandblasted and coated in chassis black. The underneath of the truck cab was also coated in chassis black at the time. It's a little dusty in the pics but inside the wheel wells and frame are clean enough to eat off of! Most every bolt on the chassis is brand new. The body is in good, solid condition to start the body work. There is no rust in the usual spots that these have. A few dings and dents that can be expected. The cab and front clip had a quick coat of paint shot on them that looks pretty good from a distance. I'd imagine someone would want to repaint the whole truck whenever they do the bed anyway. The bed is fairly straight in and out and is a great start as really nice beds are very hard to come by. The tailgate is rusty that's on it but it comes with a spare good tailgate and rear bumper. The 318 motor starts right up and runs great. I'm assuming it has been gone through but I don't have any documentation of that. The 4spd NP435 shifts smoothly and the transfer case engages good as well. It needs some minor odds and ends to finish it up. It comes with the mirrors and wipers. Could use some door and window gaskets as well as lock cylinders for the doors. The hood needs to be lined up in the back (simple adjustment). Needs a few hub bolts. The wheels are the custom Stockton style 16.5 wheels with good tires. 3 of them are BF Goodrich all terrain and 1 is a Sport King that closely matches. The interior is very nice with a good dash (dash pad is cracked), excellent seat, and chassis blacked floor. It's ready for the vinyl floor covering and fitment of shifter boots. This will sell with NO RESERVE to the high bidder so here's your chance to bid on a neat old truck and make it your own! They are getting harder and harder to find in good shape and I'd love to finish it out but I just have too much going on right now. $200 paypal deposit due within 48 hours and full payment due in cash in person within 7 days unless other arrangements have been made with me prior to the end of the auction. I'm pretty easy to deal with so just be up front with me if you need special arrangements. I have title in my name, ready to go so no problems there. Feel free to call me with any questions. 563-676-2032.
