Dodge Other Pickups 1979 Description
Up for bids here is a very straight and original 1979 Dodge Adventurer D150 Long Bed Pick-Up Truck. This is a nice clean Texas truck with good running die-hard 318 2 bbl V8 3 speed automatic on the column with RWD and front disc brakes. Also features dual tanks, ew Goodyear Wrangler Radial tires and recent complete tune-up. As you can see in the pics, able Brown Metallic original paint job is mostly in place, owever there is evidence of some kind of repaint on one fender and the top section of the rear bed, omething I did not want to disrupt as it is an original petina truck. The truck is also equipped with factory A/C (not working), ruise control (never tried it), ear tank is solid but not hooked up, ossible diverter solenoid issue and also equipped with inside hood release. Wheels, ear bumper and cattle guard have been repainted white to highlight the base version two tone paint job. Dog dish hub caps are period specific OEM Dodge division caps I purchased on eBay for $150.00, nd I think from a Coronet. Cattle guard at one time contained the spare tire as you may have detected in the outline of the framework in the front pic. But the mount and tire have been relocated to the drivers side rear bed in a more traditional look. It could easily be reconnected and monted back to front so a camper could be installed. The aluminum fold out camper step on the rear bumper is sure evidence that this truck was once used as a family vacation camper, ee original barn find pic the in end of regular pics to show it how it was 2 years ago when we drug it out of the car port it was stored in. This truck has been restored over the last two years to include new Carter BBD 2 bbl carb, ew starter, ew fuel pump, ew distributer cap, ew plug wires/ plugs. New fuel filter and fuel sending unit as well as fuel lines and tank have been completely cleared out. Has also got a new carpet installed, estored dash/glove compartment and side door panels. I also got a restored sliding glass rear window and installed it last summer to get the full effect of air flow. Aftermarket Ammeter is in dash, il pressure and temp gauges work perfectly, uel gauge is intermittent. Dome light and Cargo light are fully operational and restored with new bulbs. Brand new inspection just completed and is licensed in TX with clear title. Truck runs solid, tarts easily and warms up quickly, nd once warmed up, estarts instantly. I have driven it back and forth from Canyon Lake twice and to San Antonio once to get a load of shelving and it ran pretty good. All other driving has been in 15-20 mile local trips hauling furniture, owers weed eaters and garage sale finds so I am pretty sure the truck could be driven to anywhere in Texas. Wipers work pretty well, nd I have a replacement wiper motor, here is an external horn, C is not functional, ut all there, rusie control is all there but have never tried it, he defroster works pretty well and it also has a period specific Pioneer Supertuner AM/FM Cassette player and 4 speaker sound system. All sales are final and truck is sold in AS-IS condition, eel free to contact me via email to set up a test drive or a viewing, have tried to describe everything I am aware of on the truck and expect bidders to be sincere and honest, o serious bidders only and non-refundable $500 deposit via Paypal is expected within 48 hours of auction close and remainder is due within 5 working days. This truck has huge potential to be a great shop truck, at Rod or Fast and Loud super truck. Additonal pictures available upon request and feel free to ask any questions which I will try and answer to the best of my ability, everal spare parts, anuals, ealer brochures come with the truck, oo many to list, o good luck bidding. 8^)=
