Dodge Other Pickups 1940 Description
Hi, this is a truck that I've been building off and on for a long time. It started as just a cab that I purchased and I built everything else around the cab. I chopped the cab 3 1/2". It's all welded together, just needs some of the sections finished. I installed new bear claw latches for each door. They work great as is, welds just need to be completed. I fabricated and welded in a new floor to go around the 904 transmission. I also welded in a drive shaft tunnel for drive shaft clearance. Frame is a Dodge D50 which I installed a Mustang II suspension to. I welded mounting brackets on the rear of the crossmember for the new Flaming River Dodge Omni rack which is rear steer. This way I eliminated the factory rack which would have mounted in front and interfered with the grill shell (and look ugly). Steering is complete from rack to steering wheel. Rear springs are the stock D50 springs with all new bushings and shocks. Rear is lowered with 3" blocks so you can adjust ride height with different blocks if you desire. Front brakes are brand new 11" Mustang II kit. Ford 8" rearend with 3.07 gears. I completely rebuilt the rear brakes with new drums and cylinders as well. New driveshaft all balanced. New master cylinder and Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve with brake light switch. Brakes are complete and ready to go. Engine is a Slant 6 with 20K miles on it since it was completely rebuilt. It came out of a 67' Barracuda I had. I installed a complete Super Six 2 barrel set on it with a new Holley carb. and choke pull off. Works great and really ups the power. All new exhaust with muffler. Seats are new, just not mounted yet. New shifter and cable. New steering column and removable steering wheel. New electric fan. New 65' Mustang radiator. Grill shell is 1930's Dodge along with headlights. I've included links to videos that will show it runs and drives and you can see everything is hooked up. Just needs a few finishing touches. I'm including a brand new wiring harness, new front shocks, new tie rod and ball joint seals and wiring harness for electric fan. It's a running driving project that doesn't need much to be finished, mainly wiring and windshield. Truck does not have a title because I just started with a cab, but it does come with the serial number tag and a bill of sale so registering will not be an issue. Ebay doesn't have an option that says (no title) so I had to enter (clear) so I could complete the listing. So just to be clear, there is NO title, but I included a picture of the serial number plate and I will include a bill of sale so titling will not be an issue. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. I may list the truck locally so I reserve the right to end auction early if it sells locally. Here are the Youtube video links.
