Dodge Pioneer 9 Passenger 1961 Description
Up for consideration one of the most documented 1961 Dodge Pioneer on the plant. This car was purchased on 3/3/1961 From Reedmans Dodge in Langhorne,Pa.(see Photos) and the documentation is incredible.Day of purchase he paid $2,965 with the power tailgate window, power steering, variable wipers, white walls etc The day of purchase he paid 24.9 cents a gallon, and had the seats, visors covered in plastic .The interior is still in remarkable condition. From that day on every mile he drove the car was recorded, what he paid for a gallon of gas,and the Miles per gallon the car did.Now the Best part.....this car has been to all 48 States, and 5 Provinces of Canada. The car has been across the USA three times and every mile recorded from Maine to California.I have receipts from hotels the Family stayed, Yellow Stone Park for lunch in 1970 for $8.43 to all you can eat Smorgasbord in Florida for 99 cents,to visiting the Queen Mary in Long Beach California. The car has been to all 42 National Parks, and the Water slide decals speak for themselves.Car has always been garage kept,a few dings from his daughters bicycle, that's it which probably can be pulled out.The chrome bumpers are outstanding, and the paint is incredible for its age.Although he did touch up the front bumpers from stone chips, and replaced the front windshield for a stone chip from a truck. On 4/27/76 he had the motor and Transmission rebuilt at 162,678 miles at the cost of $1,343.02 and rebuilt his Stromberg Carb for $13.62. I replaced the master cylinder and brake cylinders. The car was last on the road by him on 2012. The car runs and drives like new. Everything comes with the car,"The onboard Vacume that he purchased but never hooked up in the box in Mint condition with the instructions, from the Polaroid Camera, the maps from every State, snow sled, travels cups, maps and every part he replaced on this car he kept. This car is a True Piece of Americana and should be preserved, and I'm retiring and selling off my collection, also have a 1960 Ford Country Sedan listed also for sale.I have set this car at a very reasonable reserveThese cars are open for inspection, feel free to call with any questions Bob 215 630 2562Thanks for lookingOn Jun-04-17 at 13:05:47 PDT, seller added the following information:
