FRESH OUT OF RESTORATION, S A CHANCE TO OWN A VERY NICE CHALLENGER..I BOUGHT THIS CAR FROM A GUY IN GEORGIA THAT HAD THE CAR FOR ABOUT TWENTY YEARS...THE REAR PLATE IS WHAT WAS ON THE CAR, LSO IN THE TRUNK IS THE ORIGINAL PLATE FROM CALIFORNIA WERE THE ORIGINAL OWNER HAD IT FOR ABOUT TWENTY FIVE YEARS SO AS I AM THE 3RD OWNER...PREVIOUS OWNER HAD JUST FINISHED THIS BEAUTY AND HERE'S WHAT I KNOW. THE ORIGINAL MOTOR AND TRANS LONG GONE BUT IN THERE PLACE IS A FRESHLY REBUILT 383 BIG BLOCK AND 727 REBUILT WITH NEW 2000 STALL CONVERTER AND DEEP PAN WERE REMOVED FROM A 197O CHALLENGER RT ALL WORKING VERY WELL -SHE STARTS WITH A TOUCH OF A KEY AND THE OEM CHRYSLER ELECTRONIC IGNITION GIVES PLENTY OF POWER ALL THE WAY TO THE WHEELS SHE RUNS WELL ON PUMP GAS THE 323 POSI REALLY MAKES THIS CAR MOVE AND SOUNDS AWESOME THROUGH THE NEW FLOWMASTER DUAL EXHAUST WITH HEMI CUDA TIPS.
THE BRAKES AND STEERING HAVE BEEN GONE THROUGH AND NICE AND TIGHT AND SHE GOES DOWN THE ROAD STRAIGHT- STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL RALLY WHEELS THAT HAVE BEEN RESTORED SHE STOPS AS WELL AS A 46 YEAR OLD CAR CAN. A REAL HEAD TURNER AND FUN TO DRIVE!
BUILT IN THE PLANT IN LA, HERE WAS RELATIVELY LITTLE RUST THROUGH ON THE BODY METAL PANELS AND FLOORS ONLY THE REAR QUARTER PANELS ARE NEW,THE HOOD, INT CONDITION GRILL,AND REAR VALANCE ARE ALSO OFF A 1970 CHALLENGER RT AND DATE CODED- ALL OTHER PANELS ARE STILL ORIGINAL TO THE CAR AS FAR AS I KNOW ALL THE PANELS WERE SANDED TO BARE METAL AND COATED IN EPOXY PRIMER AND GIVEN ITS FIRST REPAINT TO GB5 BRIGHT BLUE-ALL THE FRAMES ARE SUPER SOLID!
ALL THE TRIM WAS REMOVED AND EITHER POLISHED OR REPLACED -I HAVE PUT THE ORIGINAL SE TRIM IN THE TRUNK WITH THE WSS DECALS AND COMPLETE SPARE/JACK ASSY-SO THEY ARE THERE IN CASE HER NEW OWNER DECIDES TO PUT THEM ON.THE LAST PIC OF THE GREEN CAR SHOWS ABOUT WERE THEY SHOULD GO... FOR ME, HE SHINES JUST AS SHE IS AND THE NEW B5 BLUE WITH BLACK STRIPES JUST ARE SO COOL! THE INTERIOR IS ALL NEW WITH NEW CARPET AND LEGENDARY SEATS HEADLINER AND DASH S -AGAIN COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLED AND PUT BACK SO ALL THE WINDOWS AND DOORS WORK AS THEY SHOULD-THE WINDSHIELD IS NEW AND THE DRIVERS WINDOW WAS SCRATCHED IN THE USUAL PLACES SO ONLY NOS COULD DO FOR REPLACEMENT THE RADIO IS NOT HOOKED UP-AS I WAS HOPING TO BE,NOW YOU CAN BE THE FIRST OWNER TO SIT IN HER AND CRUISE WITH THE BEST!
