Dodge Other 1953 Description

Hi and thanks for looking! I'm selling a 1953 Dodge Medowbrook custom, this car is beautiful driver and was a no expense spared build! It took four and a half years and roughly $150,000 by the time it was finished in 2007. This car was featured in the April, 2009 issue of Rod & Custom magazine.

The exterior: The car started off as a Plain-Jane Dodge Medowbrook until it was tastefully modified into the car you're looking at today. The car has had a complete shave job and the doors, hatch and hood are all controlled by remote poppers. Other body modifications include: side exit exhausts, the vent windows and side window posts have been removed, the bumper was modified by removing the bumperets and then re-chromed along with the stock grill and rear bumper. All of the lights (save for the headlights) on the car are LED's and the tail lights are Technostalgia units that are modeled after a '39 Ford. The car has been tubbed to fit 29x15.5 Hoosier Pro-Street radials that are wrapped around Weld Pro Star wheels in the rear and the front is fitted with 235/45 tires on 17" Boyd Coddington wheels.

Chassis and drivetrain: This Dodge is one seriously fun ride thanks to the combination of Hemi power and a fantastic Art Morrison chassis! The car is air ride equipped thanks to the Art Morrison Air Spring Plus chassis and Air Ride Technologies springs. To get things moving, this Dodge has a Mopar Performance 426 Hemi that's been stroked out to 478ci, balanced and fed by dual 600cfm Edelbrock carburetors. Other notable parts include: Custom long tube headers and Flowmaster mufflers, MSD ignition system, custom oil pan and a Ron Davis radiator. Power is put to the ground via a rebuilt 727 with a 2600 stall converter and an Art Morrison Air Spring Ford 9" rear end with a limited slip diff and 3.55 gears. To make sure you can get everything slowed back down and keep the car pointed in the right direction this car is fitted with Willwood 4 piston brakes on all four corners and a AGR hydraulic power steering rack fed from a AGR pump.

Interior: The car has the original dash but it has been modified to fit a full suite of Dakota Digital gauges. The steering wheel is a Flaming River wheel and is mounted to a custom tilt column. The car has power windows and floor mount pedals that are made by Art Morrison. To keep you comfortable on a summer cruise this car has air conditioning by Vintage Air and power adjustable seats out of a Jeep Grand Cherokee that have been custom upholstered in Allante leather. The headliner is also leather with Nuvtex Ostritch inserts. This car also has a Blutooth compatible deck with Kenwood speakers.

Thanks for looking and please feel free to contact me with any questions!
