Dodge Challenger 1970 Description
1970 Dodge Challenger SE. Car has been in Texas and Oklahomamost of it's life and has minimal rust.Car was found stored in a garage where it has been for the last 15+ years. Great driving car that I wouldn't be afraid to drive anywhere. Just took it on a 60 mile trip yesterday and it drove great.Body: Body looks to be in really good condition. A couple of bubbles around the vinyl top trim and a couple under the top but nothing I would be worried about. Doors open and shut like new. Floors look original and untouched(look at pictures). Vin is still clearly stamped in cowl and has numbers stampedon core support but they are hard to make out. Fenders, doors and quarters look to be in really good shape. Trunk has some scale but nothing looks to be through and probably just need treated and repainted. Paint is about 15 years old and shines up really nice. I would not paint the car, I would just drive it and enjoy it like it is.
Drivetrain: I was told engine, transmission and rearend are original to the car. Has 318 stamped on engine. Engine appears to be rebuilt and has hooker headers, flowmaster exhaust and has a lot of get up and go. Car runs and drives like a 1970 Challenger is supposed to.
Interior: Interior was restored at some point and is very clean. Lights, turnsignals and horn all work. Gauges seem to all work as car did not overheat or show any signs of anything wrong on my 60 mile trek. Seats have been recovered and are nice and soft and comfortable.
All in all a great car for the money. You can buy this car and make it your daily driver if you want. It is that good(in my opinion). Fender tag was lost when the car was restored 15 or 20 years ago but with this car the vin tells you just about everything you need to know. Build sheet could still be in it but I could care less as the car is great just the way it is. Ralley wheels are also supposed to be original but I don't know for sure.
Thanks for looking,
Just wanted to add, the car has power disc brakes.
