Chevrolet Corvair 1961 Description
1961 Corvair Rampside Pick-up w/ rebuilt 110 hp truck motor (some of these trucks were restored with a Corvair car motor). Motor rebuild has about 2000 miles on it. 3speed transmission, Gauge cluster (Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, Voltage gauges), Chevorlet AM/FM Cassette player, Black Carpet w/ Aqua mats, and console.
**** Mileage listed above may not be accurate, it is unknown whether odometer has rolled over or not *****
Recent repairs:
New Clutch, pressure plate, release bearing, clutch cable.
Brake shoes and wheel cylinders
Hoses
Rebuilt generator and starter in 2013
Truck repainted Asru (sp?) Aqua and pearl white inside and out and body work in 2012. Truck still has some rust underneath in the front wheel well areas that will need to be taken care of eventually.
**Choke cables were damaged and not working, so were removed from truck. Have not been able to locate replacement cables, but truck cranks fine without them. In the colder months, truck requires a little extra time to warm up, but is not a problem. Old choke cables are available to new owner upon request.
This truck is not perfect, but is in really good condition as is. It is a driver and wins a trophy every time it has been entered in a show. It does have a few scrapes and scratches in the paint, but no dents. This truck will turn heads and get plenty of attention and with a 110hp motor, has some get up and go!! Bed has wooden slats velcro'd down for cosmetic looks and the motor cover, which is normally bolted down, was taken apart (normally double sided) to lighten and had hinges and handle installed for car shows so hatch could be lifted to show engine. do have another engine cover that is complete that will go with the truck upon request, but will need to be restored to match the truck. Please look at the pictures, more available upon request. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will answer to the best of my ability. I am selling the truck because of health reasons and I am not able to work on it like I need to.
**** Please ask any questions or request and needed additional pictures or info before bidding. I will try to get any requested information back to you ASAP ****
