Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 1979 Description
1979 chevy truck, 4wd, 1/2 ton, longbed, 350 small block/350 turbo auto, clean title, inspected a long time yet until december, needs nothing to pass. This is a very solid and straight truck, above average, a nice neat, and tidy well kept truck inside and out, that needs nothing but a paint job to be very nice, with upgrades, and many newer parts put on over the last year. Truck needs nothing, very reliable and ready to drive.Body is very clean for age, frame clean and solid, under hood is clean and solid and well maintained, bed has no rust or rot anywhere on the outside or underneath, cab is very solid, rocker panels good, inner rocker panels clean. The only couple things i noticed done to the cab by a previous owner is the floor pans replaced, and both cab corners were replaced, but done nice, and is solid and looks good. Both doors and both fenders are solid with no rust or rot, hood is solid with no rust or rot, it has a few small bubbles on the very front of the hood, but not rotted or bad, just a few small bubbles. All mounts good. All in all, a very solid straight truck that needs very little body work, just a few very minor imperfections, and thats all. The best thing about this truck is,all sheetmetal is GM, except possibly the right front fender, but im not a 100% sure it isnt, but all the rest is for sure, no aftermarket junk. All keys work, and doorlocks work, all glass is good.
All mechanicals work and reliable, engine runs very nice, with lots of power, tranny shifts perfect and snappy, driveline solid, 4wd works well, dual exhaust, all electrical good shape. Truck bed has gas tank doors on both sides for dual tanks if wanted, currently has single tank on passenger side.
(Note: the truck has a couple parts from a gmc truck on it a previous owner before me installed, the grill and tailgate, but i wanted to make clear the truck is a "chevy" truck, "not" a gmc. The gmc parts are worth just as much as the chevy parts so you can easily sell this grille and tailgate and buy chevy ones with the same money, if thats what you want, but theres nothing wrong with these ones as is.)
Interior nice and respectable and clean, heater and controls work, all gauges work, all interior stuff works, bench seat in good shape except some cracks on the bottom of the drivers side. Rear slider window with tinted glass, and has overhead console lights.
Lot of newer parts, and extras added over the last year. The heater and radiator hoses, starter, edelbrock carburator, flex fan, brakes, plugs, wires, chrome valve covers and air cleaner, master cylinder, cap and rotor, strong battery, four extra strong towing eyes on wheelwells in bed for strapping things down, has a 4 inch rancho suspension lift kit and shocks, heavy duty slider hitch and towing light hookups, chrome cab side handles, original nice mirrors, sunvisor, lockout warn hubs installed, part-time transfer case conversion kit installed for part time 4wd which saves a huge amount of wear and tear on front end parts and tire wear, and gas mileage. Four "brand new" cooper discoverer A/T3 31x10.50x15 tires with "no" wear, four very nice shape original GM ralleye rims, and beauty rings.
All in all this is a nice clean straight truck that just needs a paint job to be very sweet, and there is very little body work needed, almost all the entire truck needs is just sanded, there are just a few very small places that need some very minor work, but no rot, rust,or holes. Shes almost 40 and no its not perfect, but pretty nice for its age. This truck is great as is for a daily driver, or work truck, and is the perfect platform for building a custom,or lifted beast. Selling because i picked up an old classic car unexpectedly and decided id rather do it than the truck so one has to go. Truck is inspected, insured, and i drive it weekly, and we can take it for a ride no problem if you want to come see it. The truck is reliable and you can drive it home any distance. reserve is set lower than the truck is worth so high bidder should win.
I know i dont have any feedback yet, everyone has to start somewhere, but i assure you the truck is as described, and accurate, and the pictures were just taken a few days ago, what you see is exactly what you will get, so please dont let me not having any feedback yet discourage you, everyone on ebay had to start at zero at some point, if it will make you more comfortable i have no problem if youd like to speak in person on the phone, just e-mail me for my number and i will send ir, or send me your number and a good time to call, or if you are close enough to come see it in person and want to come see it, and take it for ride before the auction ends your welcome to do that also, so please bid with confidence, thank you.
