Chevrolet Camaro 1979 Description
You're looking at my father-in-law's 1979 Camaro Z28 with 54,797 original miles. He's not very internet savvy so he's asked me to list it for him. The car is located at his home in Chester, VA (20 minutes south of Richmond). The car overall is quite solid. He bought the car out out of Florida, then brought it to VA. There are a few minor spots of rust in the rocker corners but not horrible, and all new sheet metal is included for the repairs. Also included is another passenger door since the one on the car has a little rust in it. New door hinges for both doors (upper and lower) are also included. New door locks as well. Original hood comes with the car also. The interior is original and will need a light restoration, though overall it's not that bad...the worst being the driver's seat cover. A new dash pad is included, as it looks like there was once a CB radio attached to the original. Headliner, rear seats, hat tray are nice. Door panels look pretty good as well. Now to the fun part....the engine. The engine in this thing is wicked! It's a built 396 with hi-rise intake, dual 4 barrel Holley carbs, and it runs extremely well! The engine turns over with a flick of the key and will put a smile on your face with its mean rumble. The M21 4 speed manual tranny with 3.73 axle ratio is stock to the car (build sheet comes with the car) and shifts very well. The positraction works as it should. Power brakes have had new pads done all the way around. Tires and rims are good. Car has a fuel cell now. Car will definitely need a paint job to look 100%. This is a great platform to either do a full restoration or make a wicked restomod. In either case, you're getting a heck of a deal on a killer engine and decent platform to start off with. Or simply enjoy it right now for what it is. All sales are final. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. Any ZERO feedback bidders MUST contact me with a phone number PRIOR to bidding. I have had way too many game players in the past. Listing with a fair Buy It Now price, but he's accepting reasonable offers. $500 PayPal deposit due immediately following the auction, and final balance bank wired within 3 business days, no exceptions. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
