Chevrolet Chevelle 1970 Description
This beautiful 1970 Chevelle Super Sport has 16. 00 original documented miles with 100% original paint. The paint is in excellent condition for it’s age. only showing very few minor stone chips. I have the original factory window sticker. Protecto Plate and owners manual. I have owned the car for 32 years and have only put about 2000 miles on it myself. The original engine was damaged before I acquired the car. The current engine is a balanced L88 427 ci that produces approx. 600hp. It’s equipped with 12. 5 compression pistons. heavy duty connecting rods with 7/16 bolts. nbsp; hardened chevy “Tuff Tride” crankshaft. Pete Jackson gear drive. Crane roller rockers and Aluminum open chamber large port heads. The engine is topped with two Holley 700 cfm double pumpers on an Offenauser manifold. Included with the car is a 1970 block #3969854. forged crankshaft and a set of 1969-70 oval port heads #3931063. I have the original air cleaner and parts for the cowl induction hood. Yes the original cowl tag has been removed. That’s because 30 yrs ago when I was 19 I thought it would look cool if it were nickel plated. As you can see in the photos the original GM manufacturers sticker is on the drivers door with the VIN#. and the VIN# on the cowl below the dash pad. The original owner had the name painted on the car. I have talked to a couple body men. they didn’t think it would be a problem removing it from the lacquer finish. I try very hard to give an accurate description so I’ll tell you what I do know that needs attention. The head liner is in great shape accept for a hole on the passengers side about 1” x ½”. nbsp; The Oil pan seeps and could use a new gasket. Carpet is in good condition but due to the short throw shifter being located slightly to the left of it’s original location. there is a patch piece of carpet over part of the original shifter hole. Overall this car is in awesome condition and with few parts and some black paint. could be put back to original condition giving someone one of the lowest miles Chevelles around. You are welcome to come yourself or have a third party inspect the car. The car will not leave until full payment is made and cleared by cahiers check or cash. If full payment is not made in a reasonable amount of time the car will be resold. Buyer is responsible for shipping.
