Chevrolet Impala 1964 Description
1964 Bel Air 409Time CasuleYou just dont find cars like this one any more. This car is unbelievably solid and original! It has been garage kept since the day it was new and has been extremely well cared for. It has been garaged since new and had never spent a night outside. This is a 2 owner car that was owned by the same owner for over 40 years. This car runs. drives. and performs fantastic! This is one of the best driving X-frame chevys I have owned. and Ive had my share of them. There is nothing like an original car that has never been apart. never been wrecked. and never restored. This is a very tight and sound driving car. and is a true pleasure to drive. I have been driving it regularly for the past couple months and am really enjoying it. This is one that I know I will regret selling. It will never be worth any less than it is today. and is guaranteed to appreciate. With a market full of worked over. previously rusty. repaired cars. loaded with Chinese parts. these true survivor original metal cars are becoming few and far between. These are the cars that will be collectible and valuable years from now. All original metal! original hood. fenders. doors. quarters. floors. etc. This car has never been wrecked. hacked. patches. cut or welded. The underside is extremely solid! It was undercoated by the dealer. and still has the original red-oxide primer underneath the undercoating. Original body mounts. braces. trunk pan. inner rockeres. floors. quarters. wheel opening. etc. all look incredible! This could pas for a 10k mile car!The interior of the car is incredible. and is 100% original. This is the nicest original interior I have ever seen on one of these cars. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer original interior on a car of this age anywhere. The original seats have had dealer installed plastic on them since the car was new. The front seat plastic was just removed for the first time to show how nice the seats actually are. The plastic cover is included with the sale and can be re installed. The seats look like they were never sat in! They are not broke down. dry. torn. or cracked. They look brand new! This car has original carpet. door panels. package tray. pedal pads. kick panels. knobs. cranks. switches. ect. The dash is original paint and looks great! The headliner is original and looks brand new. The shifter and shift knob are the only things inside the car that are not original. Everything on this car works! The original AM radio and original speaker work flawlessly and sound great. The cluster is very crisp and clear. It has all working dummy lights. working 2 speed wipers. and working horn The heat and de-frost work great (I have been driving the car all winter). All interior and exterior lights. including the radio light. dome light. dash light. heater control lights. etc. work. Bright and turn signal indicators. cigarette lighter. fuel gauge. Emergency brake. all work just as they should. All the weather strip and seals are original and in nice shape for their age. The door panels had never even been off the car. The original paper is still in the doors and had never been removed!Every piece of glass is original and in very nice shape. It rare to see an original windshield still look as good as this one does! The doors open and close unbelievably good. All the windows roll up and down perfectly. The original key opens and locks the doors. trunk. and glove box. Besides a exterior respray to the original color of Silver Blue. nothing on the exterior has been touched. The door jambs. trunk jambs. etc are original paint. It has original bumpers. trim. grill. headlights. taillights. door handles. emblems. nbsp; The paint is very slick and looks awesome! The car is nice and straight down the side and has VERY little filler in it. It has all 5 original paint wheels that are in great shape. and the original 64 bel air caps are the nicest set I have ever seen. The original jack is in the trunk and the original spare looks like it has never touched the ground. Under the hood you will find original paint throughout the engine compartment. the firewall. radiator support. inner fenders. ect are all original. Besides the engine. hich had been painted and detailed. everything else under the hood is original. The 409 performs flawlessly. and is correct date coded for the car. but is not numbers matching. Its fires right up with ease and idles smooth and quiet. It runs cool and doesn't miss a beat. This is a very tight running motor that has been very well cared for. The carb was professionally rebuilt and recolored to original. It has new plugs. wires. hoses. seals. etc. The alternator is a correct 1964 date coded alternator that came on the car. The coil and distributor are original 1964 pieces. The motor is really the only thing on the whole entire car that is not original. The Muncie 4 speed shifts smooth and functions just as it should. A new heavy duty clutch and pressure plate were installed The story on this car: Years back I lucked out on the 409 find of a lifetime. A 14k original mile. never rebuilt. never apart. never messed with. original owner. totally original 1964 409. and a Muncie 4 speed! Motors like these dont come available often. I lucked out and was able to purchase it. I knew that I had to find the right 64 worthy of this motor. Many cars came and went wile this motor sat stashed away waiting for its home. I had owned many very nice 64s that I had considered putting the motor in. but waited for the right original survivor car for this original motor. I really wanted a factory manual shift post car. that was rust free and completely unmolested. I wanted an original car not some restored. Theres not many of those left that still look good. I got wind of this 100% stock and factory 64 belair that had been in the garage its whole life that was as good as they get. When I got there and laid eyes on the car. I knew I had found the right car for my motor. Regretfully I decided to part with my "once in a lifetime" motor find that I have been hording for all these years. and the "once in a lifetime" original 64 post that I hunted for for so many years. All my hard work and lucky find. can be yours today! This is an awesome car. and I am having second thought as I type this. but I have way too many cars at the moment and need to make some room!If your serious about owning the car. give me a call and we can discuss.
