I mean really drive and enjoy??Do you want it to look like a true Hot Rod with a flare all its own. but also have some updated comfort features like Air Conditioning. Power Steering. Power disc Brakes and Automatic with overdrive??Do you want a Classic truck with a beautiful stance. that sounds as sweet as it looks??Are you ready to celebrate the Spring Car Show and Cruise-in season with a '59 Apache that will turn heads wherever you go and is ready to drive the day it arrives to your driveway??Well. if you have been shaking your head YES then get ready because this Minty Fresh Apache may be the one you have been waiting for!!!! It is hard to ignore how hot the Classic Chevrolet Pick Up trucks have been in the past year or two and they continue to gain popularity in the classic car hobby. With a wide variety of trucks on the market sometimes they begin to all look very similar. That is certainly not the case with this jaw dropping Minty Fresh '59 Chevy Apache Fleetside Short Bed!! This truck spent most of its life in the dry climate of New Mexico before it made its way to a professional Hot Rod Shop in Florida where it was transformed from the farm truck it started out as. to the sweet Hot Rod it is today. The owner of the shop builds a truck or so a year for himself to showcase some of what they do and to have a personal truck to drive and enjoy to the local shows and events. This truck was finished off about 8 months ago and he put about 3000 miles on it after it was completed. road tested and sorted out so it will be a great cruiser for the next owner. It is also nice enough to show at the local events and cruise ins and he told us he took a peoples choice award at the last show he put it in which is no surprise since this truck has quickly become a shop favorite here as well. With Spring just arriving this Apache is the perfect truck for the next enthusiast to begin enjoying as soon as it arrives in their driveway. This is not an over-restored trailer queen. nor is it an amateur built rat rod. I think this truck combines a great combination of professional touches and a great color scheme with some modern comfort upgrades like ice cold A/C resulting in a truly unique Hot Rod truck that I am sure the next owner is going to be thrilled with. I will do my best to provide you with enough large images. a video so you can hear it running. and an honest description to help you decide if this is the truck for you. As you will see in one of the pics below we also have a super sweet '55 Chevy Big Window Pick Up truck available as well that would make a great his and hers pair if you can handle more then one great Hot rod at a time. As with all of our classics we do have this truck advertised on several websites including our own and if after reviewing the pics and info you decide you do not want to miss out on it I encourage you to call me to discuss how we can get it to your garage before the next car guy or gal beats you to it. Sit back and enjoy!! Having spent the majority of its time in New Mexico. the previous owner told us this former farm truck arrived to his shop with very little rust and was a super nice. dry body that was the ideal truck to restore to where it sits today. The result is a truly unique truck with a terrific stance and a color combination that is truly fitting of the style and quality. The paint is a high quality Hot Rod Flatz Mint color from TCP Global and it is accented in vanilla white base/clear among the cab and down the sculpted sides of the bed. The Hot Rod Flatz paint is simple to keep clean only needing to be wiped down with Windex when needed. This truck was built to be driven and not be trailered. While the workmanship is excellent the owner of the shop that built it purposely did not try to transform this classic in to a laser straight flawless trailer queen. The body overall is quite straight. doors open and shit easily. body panels line up great. and it is extremely solid but you will find small signs of character ripples and bruises along the body. Most of these are down low and not obvious and quite frankly as stated they were left because they add to the character of this truck. It is still a truck that can be proudly taken to the shows and cruise in events but I want to be up front and let you know it is not a concourse laser straight body. With that said. I want to make sure you realize that it was still restored to a very high level and I think the truck looks as good in person as it does in the pics that follow. As you will see the original bumpers were also painted in base/clear to match the other white accents. Original emblems and chrome grill look great with just minor signs of age and patina. The wood bed was refinished and looks awesome. The glass all looks great with just minor signs of age. Front windows roll up and down easily with new weatherstripping all around on this truck. We had Larry from Conways Customs stop by to lay down a few sweet pinstripe designs that fit really accent this truck beautifully. One of the coolest design features of the '59 Apache is the quad headlight front end. The lowered stance combined with the awesome color combination make this Minty smooth Apache one that truly stands out in a crowd. I'll let the pics tell you the rest of the story. here is a photo tour of the body: Open the drivers side door and you will see that the interior quality matches the exterior with an extremely tasteful custom bench seat upholstery that boldly accents the Mint and Vanilla color story of this Apache. Metal surfaces are painted in the same Mint Hot Rod Flatz color accented in Vanilla white base/clear on the door panels and dash. Two tone custom headliner looks great. The inside of the cab has a few pinstripe accents as well. Front bench seat is super comfortable and neatly embroidered with the Chevy Bowtie. Nice polished Tilt steering column with a sweet banjo steering wheel. Dash and gauges were left mostly stock and all of the gauges appear to be working correctly including the speedometer and fuel gauge. A temp gauge was installed in the ashtray and this truck runs nice and cool. Those of you who live in the sunbelt and really want or need air conditioning will be thrilled with the modern a/c that was installed with R134 to keep the cab nice and cold when needed. This unit also provides toasty warm heat for those in the colder regions who need it in the fall/winter. A nice am/fm/cd/mp3 player was installed in the glove box with speaker behind the bench seat. The only small items missing are turn signals and horn which should not be difficult to add if needed. The custom automatic shifter is a nice touch that is mated to the 700R4 automatic transmission. The clean. simplistic design of the interior really compliments the sleek exterior wonderfully. Slide your wife. girlfriend. or kids in next to you and enjoy the ride. Have a look inside: The heartbeat of this Chevy Apache Hot Rod is a professionally rebuilt 350 V8 that is believed to have come out of an early 80's C10. The shop that built this truck had the motor completely rebuilt including have the block cleaned and honed. ported and polished. nice mild cam. lifters. heads. valve guide seals. etc. Fuel flows through a new Holley 4bbl. Headers breathe out a great sounding dual exhaust that exits neatly beneath the rear quarters and puts out a tone that is music to any true muscle car enthusiasts ears!!! A rebuilt 700R4 automatic transmission was installed and this truck shifts smooth and strong and will cruise at any speed. Rebuilt 10 bolt posi rear end with 3:42 gears help this truck cruise at highway speeds with ease. The truck was built with a Trans Am sub frame and power front disc brakes stop this truck straight with ease. Power steering makes handling a breeze and the trucks suspension is nice and tight with no float or issues. Lowering springs up front and lowering blocks in the rear give this Apache a sweet stance and the wheels are adorned with '57 Cadillac hub caps and wrapped in a great set of wide white wall tires that only have about 3000 miles on them. The shop owner that built this truck. built it to be driven and he did so during the time he had it putting close to 3000 miles on it though out Florida. Aluminum radiator and electric fans keep this truck running nice and cool. I did not notice any leaks on this professional build. He did not hesitate to drive it anywhere and it really handles the road well. The undercarriage looks very nice and was cleaned up nicely. Make sure you listen to the video that follows to hear this Apache. it sounds and drives as good as it looks!!!
