Up for auction is an absolutely gorgeous 1964 Corvette convertible that we recently purchased. This car has spent most of its life here in Virginia. This car has been restored for approx 15 years has been garage kept since its completion and only driven approx 18,000 miles since it was completed. This Vette is a thrill to drive!! This is a nice driver!
Since I purchased it I have been driving it daily to/from work and to local shows with NO problems! It hits the road smooth and tight and turns heads everywhere it goes! This car is ready to enjoy ALL lights, wipers, signals, horn, heater, gauges, etc work properly. The headlight doors roll up/down great and work properly as designed. The car still has the factory radio in the dash but has a new am/fm/cd player hidden away in the rear which works and sounds great.
The drivetrain is a non matching # 350 that starts, sounds and performs great has a period correct look with the correct manifolds valve covers air cleaner etc. It is mated to a newly rebuilt Muncie 4 speed that shifts perfect with a Hurst shifter and factory rear end geared at approx 3:55 This car is equipped with power steering and power brakes. It handles great and stops excellent no problems. It is turn key ready to drive!
This car is finished in Marlboro maroon paint that was applied 15 years ago It is slick, very clean and has an awesome shine. It is what I would consider to be nice driver quality paint. It is fitted with a 67 BigBlock Stinger hood and accented with a black stinger stripe that just really sets the car off! Overall on a scale of 1 to 10 with a 10 being perfect I'd rate this car a 7.
It is riding on 15x7 rally wheels with new redline tires. The body lines all look great and everything fits nice. The bird cage and frame is solid and looks good as well. All of the stainless emblems, bumpers etc are very nice. The white top is clean and bright fits nicely and has NO rips or tears.
The interior is clean throughout all gauges work properly has an aftermarket wood wheel and a hurst shifter.
