Chevrolet Corvette 1965 Description
This is a 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Big Block. No Reserve Auction. The Corvette is located in Rock Hill, SC, about 25 miles from Charlotte, NC. PLEASE NOTE: This 1965 Corvette is being sold AS IS and there are No Returns. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO NOTICE: MILEAGE IS NOT CORRECT. The speedometer has been broken for many years. The engine was originally a Big Block 396. The battery is on the driver's side. The car has a 350 engine in it now. The paperwork indicates the engine has Competition Cams. The engine runs. PLEASE NOTE: before I started the engine, I changed the oil and put in fresh gas. The car has aftermarket knock-off wheels. There are 427 emblems on the Corvette, but they have no relationship to the car--the previous owner put the emblems on because he thought it was "cool." The car comes with the original 1965 Corvette Owner's Guide. The Corvette is in need of complete restoration. The following are some of the condition issues I see: NO brakes; cracks in the gauge glass of the speedometer, battery, and oil; replacement radio; crack in dash above glove box; convertible top needs adjustment; one window handle needs to be put back on; one small triangular window does not shut completely; carburetor needs adjustment; needs total paint job; no cigarette lighter; speedometer not working. Again, the Corvette is in need of restoration. Think of a car that has been sitting under a car port for the last fifteen years in the Carolinas--that would be this car.
I am not a car guy; I am an auctioneer who purchases estates. The description of this Corvette is my best effort to describe the car, and keep in mind that this description is written by a novice. I encourage you to come see the car and I encourage you to ask questions. The Corvette must be paid for within 7 days, and the car must be moved within 15 days after purchase unless other arrangements are made. The buyer is responsible for making thearrangements for moving the car and the moving of the car is done at the expense of the buyer. THANK YOU for viewing this eBay listing.
