Chevrolet MASTER DELUXE 1938 Description
This auction is for a 1938 Chevrolet Masters Deluxe 2 Door Sedan. In the late 1970's it was put on a Chevrolet 4X4 Chassis. I believe it to be a late 1960's to early 1970's Chassis. Not sure if it was a Blazer or Short Box Pickup Chassis but it is a 114 inch wheel base. The car still has what was left of its original frame and is mounted on the 4X4 frame. Both frames are solid as are the floors and undercarriage. Has an early 400 Chevrolet Small Block Engine with 3 Speed Manual Transmission. Motor is stuck from sitting. Vehicle is wired up 12 Volt. Interior is all intact and still in decent shape. Headliner needs a good cleaning. Dash is all complete. Has a Tilt Steering Column, auges, ach, M/FM Cassette, intage items from that era. Some of the glass is fogged out but windows roll up and down. There is some rust through on the bottom of both doors and outer lower trunk panel. The main trunk and wheel tubs are solid. I believe they sell patch panels for the doors. There is some damage on the drivers side of the car. It was picked up with a fork lift to be placed on a trailer and they grazed the drivers door, anged up the fender and running board on that side. Fender can be pulled, unning board could be straightened or just replace it. Hood had a little damage also but I pounded most of it out. The car steers fine, hifts through the gears fine and breaks still stop it. Will need a new fuel tank as the old one got damaged when they picked it up. There are some home made fender skirts tacked to the wheel wells on all four fenders. They did this to cover up the space from the tire to the fender. Underneath the fenders still have the factory lips so you could remove those panels. I know the car needs some chasing but what a cool piece to fix up as a rat rod or make that Mad Max vehicle. You could dismount this body from this chassis if you want to make a traditional hot rod and use the chassis for a pickup or blazer like it was intended for. Many possibilities. Selling at no reserve so please be serious in your bids. Will be sold a Maine dealer bill of sale and last registration. If you need more info or pics feel free to call or email at 207-324-5568 days or 207-432-2862 eves and sundays
