This is a 1949 Chevy truck body on a 1994 Chevrolet C1500 (Silverado) chassis and running gear. The engine is a 1994 4.3L V6 and is lots of power for this small truck. The transmission is automatic, and the brakes are disc in the front and drums in the rear. It has power steering and power brakes. The interior has been completely redone, including new gauges, music system with USB port and air conditioning. The seats are from the 1994 Silverado and are cloth. The mechanical condition of the truck is very good. The body looks great but the paint is only okay. There are a couple of defects which are shown in close up photos (drivers side door). This truck is a great driving truck that looks good. What it isn't is a show truck. If you are looking for a fun, good looking truck that you can actually drive - this is it. It's reliable and gets lots of attention when out on the road.
I purchased it about a year ago and intended to turn it into a show truck. I've driven it during this period and realized it is better as a driver than a fully redone truck. It looks good and drives very well - I have used it to run around town and enjoy it. What I don't have is room for this truck. It sits on the hoist area in my shop and this is space I need back!
