Chevrolet Corvair 1966 Description
1966 Corvair Monza Up for your consideration is a 140 hp 1966 Chevrolet Corvair Monza power glide two-door coupe with factory air conditioning! Born in Willow Run but raised in California. Proof of deliveryto California dealer in original "Buyer Protection Plan" booklet. Also has original owner's manual. 75k original miles. Has spent its years in this dry climate so its body and undercarriage are rust free. Most of it's life has been in storage. Just before the vehicle changed hands 8 years ago, quad carb 140 horsepower engine was installed. The new owner became disabled and it went back into storage shortly thereafter. This vehicle shows pride of ownership. The engine bay is tidy, leanand was as just serviced. New distributor cap, otor, lug wires, lugs. Fuel was drained, eplaced with premium. New fuel pump with all rubber fuel line sections replaced. Cranks right up. Has been drivenless than10 miles since removed from storage. Brakes were serviced just before storage, ave lots of pressure, nd work very well. Tire tread looks virtually unused. A/C condenser cooling fan and climate control blowers work. A/C needs charging, ndwas not converted to R134 in the event the new owner has access to the traditional ice cold R12. System was vacuumed and has held the vacuum for months, o the system is air tight. Transmission was just serviced and shifts smooth with plenty of torque. Drives very well. The interior is innice condition and the chrome sparkles. The carpets were replaced at some point and the seats are in nice shape. Seatbelts front and rear. The headliner would be near flawless except for that above the driver seat (which is odd considering the condition of the interior, ee photo). Dashboard vinyl is in like-new condition and all black crackle paint present on its face. Glove box button in need of replacement. All controls and gauges are fully functional. It was repainted at one point, ut needs a repaint. Body looks good with only a few blemishes which are easily addressable in preparation for paint. No need to paint any jams as they are perfect. This is one of the nicest Corvairs seen in a long time. Title was salvaged due to unpaid registration fees, ut was later revived. Was not due to an accident. A side view mirror is missing, ut easy to source. The passenger side emblem needs replacement. This is a rare investment opportunity. Only 2% of Chevrolet’s Corvair line were installed with factory air conditioning and the cabin cooling blue tinted glass. These options are worth a bundle. In some instances, he A/C and glass have been removed and sold for more than a whole car! If you’ve been looking for a late model Corvair, his is a no-brainer. If you want to have a nearlyall original show car, here isn’t much you need to do. If you want to add your own personality, his is probably one of the best platforms out there for your dream creation. Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime find! Good Luck! Happy Bidding! Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Responses will generally be same day,but in some instances the following business day. $500 deposit due within 24 hours. Though shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, eller works regularly with auto transport companies and is happy to arrange.California buyers note:vehiclewas not placed onnon-op in 2008 prior to storage. There is approximately $500 in back registration fees due.**Serious bidders only, lease.**
