Up for sale is a 1946 Chevrolet Pickup. It is in great condition overall. It retains it`s original powertrain and has not been modified from the factory configuration. It`s rare to find a 71 year old truck that hasn`t been customized, cut up or had a big V8 dropped in. This is just like the truck grandpa had on the farm. It is powered by a 216 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder engine, backed by a floor-shifted 3 speed manual transmission. It runs and drives as you`d expect of a vintage truck. The engine runs fine and the transmission and clutch work great. The brakes stop the truck in an orderly fashion and the 15" radial tires have plentyof miles left on them. The headlights, horn and taillight work as expected, even the factory gauges all work fine. The glass is all good. The doors open and close good and the door windows roll up and down smoothly. Even the factory crank-out windshield operates perfect. The mechanicals on this truck were rebuilt and brought back to good working order. It was recently repainted by the previous owner. The finish is of amateur quality but still looks very presentable. Even when new, these trucks did not have "show quality" paint, so this truck fits right in. The body is solid, with no noticeablerust issues.
