Chevrolet Other 1931 Description
++1931 CHEVROLET SEDAN PROJECT CAR w/ TITLE++THIS IS MORE CAR THAN YOULL PROBABLY SEE IN A PROJECT STATE FOR A VERY LONG TIME!!!
Car was purchased several months ago from someone with a property full of old cars. I had full intentions on building a serious hotrod out of this one! It was pretty badly damaged, and obviously a nice layer of surface rust...but has NO ROT RUST!!! The car is extremely solid! Someone was using it as a shooting target at some point, which is where all of the holes came from. The larger ones just flapped back the steel, so I was able to work the metal back to almost original for in those areas. it was left to die, and I did my best to begin the process of bringing her back to life. Fortunately, several bullet wounds were laid out in the area that was chopped from the car. I want & need this car to go to a GREAT HOME!! I'm a hotrod enthusiast, but I just got called back to oil, so my extra time to work on it is nearly nonexistent. I alsoown a business selling a tool I designed & patented, which is in need of some financial investment at the moment. this is one hell of a start!! most sedans you'll find today are several thousand dollars for a hacked up piece of yard art. This is a solid car, on a solid, frame(all original) with the full length side steps & fenders. Also, really cool feature is the original Stainless Steel Trim on the front cowl!! It survived in near perfect shape all this time!!!
IT DOES STILL NEED ALOT OF WORK!! BUT I PUT A TON OF IT IN MYSELF ALREADY. PEASE NOTE SOME PICS ARE FROM EARLIER IN THE PROJECT, BEFORE THE CHOP AND MUCH OF THE WORK I DID. THIS IS TO SHOW THE WORK COMPLETED THUS FAR. CAR LOOKS LIKE MAIN PIC!!
Most of the large damage has been worked out of the car and is getting near the "finishing" stages. The fenders were twisted and creased pretty bad, and smashed against the car. As you'll see, with a ton of work, I have them back near to their original shape and location. That is also the case for the body damage. I have tons of pictures of the areas as the work progressed, receipts for every single thing that was purchased, and even a log book for hours and description of work being done on the days it was completed. again, this was going to be a very serious car for me!!
The roof has also been chopped 6", along with the doors. The rear window was cut from the car prior to the chop, and then fit into place to match the same size of the rear side windows, and allow for better visibility. There are some suspension parts pictured, along with half of the floor, the dash, and the steering column & steering wheel that are included.
