Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1956 Description
Up for auction is a mostly original andsecretly kept 1956 Chevy Bel Air Two Door Hard Top. My friend has had this carstored away for 28 years, waiting to restore it but now he hasdecided to sale. He would startit every once in a wile, and snick it outfor adrive. Very few people knew he had it. He bought it from a friend that was the second owner, and who had kept it as original as he could. This chevy was built in Oakland California, with the one peace bumpers and lived there for some time. It's original drive train with the 283 engine, Rochester carburetor with tag,Hydrometric transmission and original rear end arein the car.The carhas had a repaint some years ago and the paint is showing it age with nicks, crapes, dings and a few rust spots showing through. (please look at pictures closely) The bottom of the car is very solid with only dirt, surface rust and a few pin holes at the rear near the trunk back floor. The car drives like a 1956 Chevy and smells inside like one to. (brings back memories)All windows & windshield are good and all side glass roll up and down nicely, no chips or cracks. The interior is mostly original with very nice dash, good head liner, good door panels, but it dose not have the original carpeting and the cloth inserts in the seat have also been replaced. On the dash, notice the dull speaker control knob for the rear speaker, that was a option. Other options are power steering, V8 engine, and the Bel Air hard top model. The engine starts easy and runsgood, no smoke or noises. The transmission also works as it should. New brakes have been installed with new kits so it stops good and the E brake even works. The clock and radio do not work but all parts are there, maybe just a little tinkering could get them working. The car has 189,451 miles on it but the speedometer shows only the 89,451. The original owners manual, spare tire, jack and extra hub cap come with.I'm listing this nice little 56 Chevy for my friend and will take all questions to him. Buyer is responsible for shipping and all shipping costs. We will help with loading on our end and in anyway we can. For your questions please call Bill (208)750-0000
