Chevrolet C-10 1970 Description
This is a 1970 Chevy pickup in need of complete restoration. This is a short bed truck that has always been a short bed, not a shortened long bed. Needs media blasted, body work done, and paint. It is no where near ready for paint.Cab corners, rockers, and cab mounts have all been repaired. No rust in the rest of the cab. Several dents and dings inside the bed but no rust at all. It is dented behind the rear bumper on one side. Tailgate is pretty rough but no rust. Looks good under the truck with the repairs done and the chassis already painted. After the panels were repaired, I primered the entire truck to protect it. It has black paint under most of the primer. This is an air conditioned truck and all of the air conditioning parts are there with the exception of the pump and brackets.
The engine is a 327 that has been rebuilt, mild cam, Weiland intake, brand new Edlebrock 1406 electric choke carburetor, finned aluminum kit installed, new HEI distributor, new wires, new plugs, new stainless headers, New pistons, rings, resized rods, reground crank, new cam bearings, new crank bearings and good gasket set. I put the one piece gasket on the pan and also the $70 valve cover gaskets. It has been done right. Transmission is a good TH350 with new seals and gaskets.
Truck has power steering and power brakes and all of that needs restored. It does have new brake calipers and new brake pads on the front.
Tires are still in very good shape. New windshield was installed last year.
This truck has not been driven in several years. Most of the parts needed to put it back together are included, some are in great shape, some of them aren't. One part I know is missing is the front inner fenders. All in all this is an entry level short bed Chevy with the hard/scary work already completed. Available virtually anytime for viewing. This is a no reserve auction and will sell to the highest bidder. Call or text 573-631-1941 with any questions. I have the equipment to load this truck onto a hauler of any sort, I also can ship this truck, usually for less than $1,000 to almost any part of the country.
