Chevrolet Corvette 1961 Description

I am listing this Corvette for my cousin, so if you have any questions, please ask as soon as possible so that I can get an answer before the end of the auction.

He purchased the car in basically the same condition that you see it. It was purchased from the estate of the previous owner, who had passed away. The family did not know much about the car, so neither does my cousin. He has taken it to his mechanic, who has made some educated opinions about the car. The paint is in very good condition, but unknown what shade of red it is. The coves have been painted black. The interior has been reupholstered in black and red to match the exterior. The hood has been changed to an aftermarket unit with the late 60’s type of big block raised area. The engine is a small block, and per the mechanic, he believes it is a 383 c.i. motor, but at least a 350. The engine is equipped with a Holley dual feed carburetor and MSD ignition. It has a 4 speed transmission. The wheels are polished Torque Thrusts. There are no power brakes, nor steering. There are no tops for the car.

He has owned the car for over 10 years and has not had any problems with it, driving the car for less than 1,000 miles. He now wants to get a larger car for he and his family to ride in together, like a 55-57 Chevy. He might be into a trade for this type of car, of equal value. The car is located in El Monte, CA, about 30 miles east of LA.

The winning bidder will be responsible for transporting the car to their location. My cousin is retired and would be willing to deliver the car to the south/west US, for a fee. But any such delivery must be agreed upon before the end of the auction. So if you have any questions, please send a message and I will get an answer as soon as possible. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
