Chevrolet El Camino 1970 Description
1970 El Comino
Hello and thank you for looking! I have listed quite a few cars in my time, this one is a little different. You are looking at a 1970 El Comino, the way I understand the story is this guy had two El Caminos and out of the two he rebuilt one. The other El Comino was a true SS but he rebuilt the none SS why? I cannot answer that . This is what he did to the best of my understanding he took the 396 from the SS rebuilt is it, cut it 30 over, new pistons, machine crank, with new main and connecting rod bearings, timing chain, high volume oil pump, new lifters and nice sounding cam, full gasket set, valve job machined heads with new seals, radiator, header, flow masters, 2 1/2 aluminized pipes, A/C works needs TLC, 700 r transmission completely rebuilt new brakes and complete new front end, ball joints, tie rod ends idler arm, center link, link kits and shocks. Brake booster feels weak but works! It was also painted with a base coat clear coat finish DuPont materials. This is a nice project that was started probably 12 years ago. To my understanding the engine, trans and rear end have less than fifty miles on them. This car has been in a very dusty warehouse. When I pulled it out the doors were stuck shut and you could not see through windows. I have put new gas a used carb, new fuel pump and it started right up no knocks, no awkward noises just perfect sounding big block ready for some TLC, fuel gauge does not work. I believe it has 355 gears, it cruses down the high way really nice. This is not my car it belongs to friend of mind I was the one that pulled it out and got it started. I have attempted to describe this car to the best of my ability, this is a project you will have to go through the whole thing. The metal looks incredible, the car starts moves and stops very well. Being that it has been in storage I believe it will be a very fun project for some body. This car is not legal and plates will not go with car, since this car has been stored you will have to transport, trailer or other. I have described this auto to the best of my ability this auction is real don't bid unless you have intentions to buy and funds to pay for it. Feel free to call (956-682-6232 Henry) and ask as many questions as possible, there is no warrantee on this car, is sold as is where is you are responsible for trans port. Car must be paid in full before pickup. Feel free to come see this car before bidding. Hope pictures help Have a great day!
