Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 1985 Description
If you you've been waiting for the right Chevy short box truck to come along wait no more! This is an exceptionally nice truck that has been well taken care of throughout its life. I have mainly done a nice driver quality paint job on it as well as lots of cool little details that sets this truck apart from many others. First off where are you going to find another short box that is 3/4 ton with a high performance BB 454?? This truck was very nice to begin with and has ZERO rust. The only signs of corrosion which was all surface was in front of the rear wheels and the battery tray. This truck was converted to 8 lug axles many years ago and was done very nicely. The truck was already optioned with the front dual shocks as they are the same except for the lift. This was no cheap paint job either as we also replaced all the door glass seals, door rubber, door strikes and of course a new driver hinge pin. all mechanisms were soaked, cleaned and work as they should. The interior is very nice including the original vinyl seat. The bed of the truck was cleaned, lightly sanded and coated with a nice bed liner. So now the engine, its a nice built 454 that has a ton of power and runs very strong. I do not know the build specs however it has Mallory ignition, Performer intake and a Holley Carb. When I first got it the engine would diesel once in awhile when shutting it off, since Ive put higher octane non ethanol fuel in it seems to be better. I have not put a timing light on yet mainly because its runs so nice. The brakes work good and the 4wheel drive functions properly. It is a Turbo 400 automatic with a 205 transfer case. The tail gate mechanisms all have been powder coated, lubed and work excellent. The wheels are very nice however two of them have some pitting and the rear tires are approx. 80% and the fronts are 30%, there is no uneven wear and they roll down the hwy nicely. I will include a tach dash with the sale which are hard to come by, I just ran out of time and money to continue. I have a clear signed Idaho title in hand for the next proud owner. Please know this is not a show truck but it is a truck that most would be proud to own. It could use some detailing on the underside to take it to the next level which I had no time to do. Its fairly clean underneath and might have one or two drops of oil after sitting for a few days. I have many pictures of this truck prior to painting or doing anything to it. Feel free to message me and I would be happy to share them with anyone. Just a super nice, solid investment. Bid with confidence.
