Up for auction is a 1964 Chevy C10 Short Bed Fleetside Custom. Let me just say that this is one badass pickup truck that you can drive every day or across the country. The truck cruises at 70MPH @2100 RPM and gets 16MPG. It has 470HP and 500FT.LBS of torque. The truck was built right & owned by a top notch mechanic in NASCAR country (Mooresville, NC). It comes with a clear & clean North Carolina title. Not to over sale, but I cannot stress enough what a good build that this truck is. I have had many of these type trucks/builds, and I can tell you that I have not had one yet that runs, shifts, drives & handles as well as this one does. If you like the way this truck looks then you will fall in love with it once you drive it. This is NOT a brand new build with bugs/issues to work out. The truck was built approximately 6 years ago and has averaged 4500 miles per year…for a total of 27,248 miles on it as of right now.

The truck has old paint/patina with rust in the usual places for these trucks but not too bad. It has a wood bed and the gas tank has been relocated to the rear. It has all of the original sheet metal and the truck has never been wrecked. The windows roll up and down just fine and all of the lights work including the turn signals, brake lights, and so on. It is running 5x5 lug pattern factory style wheels at this time. At one time it had 20” BOSS wheels that looked pretty good… however I like this factory/sleeper look better myself but that’s just my opinion.

Enough selling now for the nuts & bolts:

The engine is a 358 small block Chevy 4-bolt main with ARP main studs, GM forged steel crank, .010/.010 forged Eagle H-beam rods, sealed power forged pistons with floating pins, AFR 180 CFM aluminum angle plugs, 65cc heads, Competition Cams hydraulic roller cam 230/236 @.050 .570/.580 lift, Harland Sharp 1.6 roller rockers, Edelbrock performer RPM Air Gap intake w/Quick Fuel HVH Super Sucker spacer, AED 750 HO/HP Carburetor, TCI Rattler harmonic balancer, Billet pulleys, Serpentine belt set up, and the list goes on…

It also has a MSD 6AL ignition 6000 RPM chipped because it will twist to 6K in first gear in the blink of an eye. MSD Pro Billet distributor, Sanderson block hugger headers mandrel bent 2 ½” exhaust, Fluidyne 5 row radiator w/16” SPAL electric fan set up with thermostat to kick on at pre-determined time (also has over ride toggle for manual operation). All fasteners are ARP, Ram SFI flywheel, Centerforce ceramic 6 puck clutch.

The transmission is a Tremec TKO600 5-speed manual with a Hurst shifter rated to handle 600 FT. LBS of torque… “64 overdrive”. This was a complete NEW transmission and components built by Tremec to bolt on the 60-66 c-10’s at a cost $5000.

The rear-end is a Chevy 12-Bolt with 4.11 gear and Eaton POSI limited slip differential, Moser 30 spline axles with 5 on 5 lug pattern.

The rear suspension is “C”-notched (done right) lowered 7” with NEW square tube trailing arms, 5” lowering springs 2” lowering blocks, custom pan hard bar, and gas shocks front and rear. The front suspension had all ball joints, tie rod ends, and etc. replaced and was lowered 5” with 2” modular drop spindles and 3” drop springs.

All brake lines hard and soft and front to rear have been replaced and it has power disc on the front w/5 on 5 bolt pattern… drum rear with 8” double diaphragm booster/master and proportioning valve. It also has a new power steering box set-up that works flawlessly. The fuel tank is a 17 gallon RCI aluminum relocated to under the bed with Holley billet HP fuel injection fuel pump and Holley Billet HP fuel filter.

The interior has Corbeau bucket seats with 5-point intact harness and Camlock quick release, a C10 center console, Auxometer instrumentation, Hurst shifter, Mooneyes California Metalflake steering wheel (very cool) …

The heater and the defrost work fine but the fan makes a little noise. It does NOT have AC.

I can pick you up at the Augusta GA airport or the Thomson GA (small aircraft) …on almost any day except Sunday.
