Up for sale we have a 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS Convertible. This Chevelle has undergone a frame off restoration and had some upgrades done in the process. It features an LS6 built 454 that's mated to a Five Speed Trans a 12 Bolt Rear End. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Chevelle. The body is covered in the Tuxedo Black Paint that's accented by the White Stripes that are under the clear. Down the sides are laser straight with good fit of the panels. At the time of the resto the bumpers were replaced. All the trim around the windshield looks good as does the glass. The grill and the trim also looks good and out back new tail lights were installed. The top on this Chevelle is new with a new glass back window. To finish off the looks it's sitting on a set of 18" and 20" Billet Wheels with new tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this Convertible. On the inside, it's done in the white and black color combo to match the exterior. The dash, carpet, and console are done in black. The console is new and houses the Hurst 5 Speed Shifter. When you look at the dash it looks like new with a new dash pad. It has the round Super Sport gauges with working Tach and Speedo. The radio has been upgraded along with the Vintage AC and the controls are in the factory location.
Finally, we will look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood, it's powered by a 454 that we were told was built to LS6 Specs. It's dressed with an Aluminum Intake and a Holly Carb. The valve covers are chrome along with a chrome breather. A set of Shorty Headers have been added along with dual exhaust. To keep it cool it's fitted with a four-core radiator. The trans is a new gen 5 Speed that's mated to a 12 Bolt rear End. For brakes, it has new lines and they're Power with Disc up front along with Power Steering. This was original a non-AC car that has been fitted with Vintage Heat and AC. When you look under this '70 you can see it was a frame off resto. The floors have been painted and the body bushings front to back are new. All the fuel lines were replaced along with a new tank.
This car does not have a build sheet and we are advertising it as a super sport clone. If we can help you in any way with questions or a specific picture, you can call our office at (865)988-8088.
