The Z/28 performance package was designed to compete in the SCCA Trans-Am series. The Z28 option included the solid lifter, 302 cid small block, producing 290 horsepower. It was backed by a Muncie four-speed with a new-for-69 standard Hurst shifter and connected to a 12-bolt rear axle with standard 3.73 gears. Power disc brakes, and two wide stripes down the hood and trunk lid. In 1969, 20,302 Z/28's were built, which nearly tripled from 1968 due to the popularity of the car.

This beautiful example was completely restored just over a year ago. Resprayed in red with a black stripe. The owner has a book of pictures showing the car during restoration. The black vinyl interior was changed to black and white houndstooth and it looks amazing. All the gauges work, including the clock.

The Z is powered by a period correct DZ302. We were told the original owner blew the original engine and that this was a factory replacement. We do not have documentation to substantiate that but we all know how often that happened with people wanting to race these cars. This a very highly optioned Z28, I've never seen another with an option list so extensive. This car features wood grain, power door locks, power windows, power and tilt steering, headlight washers, folding rear seat, speedometer speed set warning, rear window defrost, rear blinker indicator, shoulder seat belts, antenna and a passenger side vanity mirror.

This is an extremely nice restoration and a car you can also drive and enjoy. Save the money restoring a project, buy this one. It's ready now!!
