Chevrolet Impala 1958 Description
Vintage Motorcars is proud to present this 1958 Chevrolet Impala.
This car is an outstanding example of the top Chevrolet from 1958. This came from a time when Detroit was firing on all cylinders, and creating masterpieces.
1958 was the year of ‘firsts’ for Chevrolet. 1958 was the first year of the Impala… First year to feature the ‘quad’ headlight design, and first year of the 348 V-8 to be used in a car.
This is truly a pristine example of a ’58 Impala. This classic cruiser is powered by the sought-after 348 V8 engine, and 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. This is one of the best combinations Chevrolet ever came out with for their larger automobiles, which is why they are so desired today. The engine starts with a simple turn of the key, and absolutely purrs down the road with no smoke or hesitation. The transmission shifts perfectly into gear, and creates a smooth effortless driving experience.
This Impala is fitted with wheel skirts and (of course) dual antennas to really complete the 50’s vibe. Just take a look at all the chrome and stainless on this timeless piece of art!
This Impala has been repainted back to its original 2-tone colors of Silver Blue and Snowcrest White. The paint is beautiful, and shows only very small marks from the road. The laser-straight body panels will impress even the best body shop, and the photos of the car prior to restoration prove it to be a very solid steel body. All the chrome and stainless are in very good shape, and show very well.
The tri-tone interior is in excellent shape with no tears or cracks. I love the fact that it still has “Grandma’s” plastic seat covers to protect the upholstery. To me… that really shows how particular the previous owner was about the car. The gauges are all in working condition as well as the air conditioning mounted under the dash.
This car drives straight down the road, and will continue to only go UP in value. Just take a look at some of the 1958 Impalas out there on the market… this one is really priced right!
