Chevrolet Camaro 1968 Description
Here's a rust-free original metal (except zhood),unrestored Camaro that my best friend bought and I first saw it in 1974. It has NEVER been in the rain and always garaged since then. This caris NOT one that has been stripped, sand blasted, cut to a skeleton and welded back together with cheap thin Chinese body panels.Rust free means RUST FREE. You can look all you want in every nook and cranny and will find NO rust or weak metal ANYWHERE.Black unrestored original interior is near perfect, has '69 high back bucket seats with matching rear seat. Door panels are all perfect original ones. No rips or holes in any seats. Dashpad has1 small crack that has not separated tho. Dash is uncut original. Original headliner has 2 holes.Paint is shiny but 15 years old with a few small chips and a couple dings, never finish sanded or buffed out so it has areas of orange peel and some cracking started. It's black with a pearl violet in the clear (looks black in shade, purple tint in the sun). Quarter skins were replaced in 1975 (didn't need to be but we didn't know any better then, just had some rust starting behind the wheel openings. Original inner/outer wheelhouses still perfect and rustfree. Gas filler tube moved inside trunk in '75for clean tail panel look, sealsgood and no fume issues ever.Originalcar 12 bolt ptrac with 3.73 gears, new rear multi springs. Has 6 pointroll bar welded to plates on floor and subframe up front. Diagonal downtube on drivers side cut out for hinged swing-out kit.New windshield, new radiator and shroud. Missing a handful of non essential parts like, lockset($30), trunk springs ($70), door felts(($40), inner fenders ($200) windshield molding($130), trunk springs($70)Stored inside since 1974 and never rained on. No, it's not a special RS/SS or Z28 car. Originally ash gold 327/pg car. Now has aFresh 355ci forged 10:1 pistons engine (w/76cc heads)with '70 Z28 LT1 profile solid cam (light choppy idle at 600rpm), 993 heads with true roller rockers, screw in studs, guide plates and aluminum intake, 750 Holley and brand new Hooker Super Comp headers, Flowmaster 40 mufflers, runs perfect, period correct Muncie M20 4speed that works perfect, excellent hp clutchand Hurst Supershifter. I'm getting a real light haze coming from both exhausts on occasion, but not always and no consistency. Too light to film it, I've tried. Appeared after I switched to synthetic, back to conventional oil now but still appears sometimes. Engine has less than 1000miles on it.Matched set of Centerlines 3.5 on the front, 8in on the back with 4.5bs. Front runner tires are in poor condition. All the lights work including flashers, but not turn signals. Charging system works good. Trunk mounted battery w/ master switch under dash.Even the original emergency brake works. Also have original warranty manual with Protecto-Plate. N O, I won't sell just the body. Clear title in my name and original key. Bidders with less than 10 feedback scores will need to message me prior to bidding or your bid will be removed. Buyer has 3 weeks to have car picked up. Cash only on p/u for balance. All other forms of payment must clear prior to carleaving. Love the car, just downsizing as I age. Don't need money so lowballersare not welcomed.Seriously interested but have more questions just ask orcall 3179669907. TEXTS IGNORED cuz I'm old.
