Chevrolet Corvette 1965 Description
This is my 1965 Corvette 427 convertible that I have been working on for the past 4 years that I am going to put up for auction. Everything has been restored or rebuil, Super solid frame was coated with POR-15,front suspension is coil overs with tubular chromoly steel a-arms from van-steel, rear suspension is also from Van-steel, these are the offset trailing arms with coilovers also. the brakes are wilwood with the 13" large drilled and slotted rotors that setup was over $3000.00 alone, new chrome master and power brake booster and of coarse all new lines. The 427 4-bolt engine is a 1969 Corvette 427-435 engine that was professionally rebuilt, has the LR code stamped on front pad, over $10,000.00 in this engine.has power steerin, steering box was sent out and rebuilt, has all new ball joints tie-rod ends, like I said everthing was redone or restored or replaced, the transmission is the M-22 ROCKCRUSHER Muncie again that was professionally rebuil, 411 Posi rearend that was also rebuilt.undercar was cleaned and painted out black, wheelwells were recoated with rubberized undercoating, so everything under car is clean, new gas tank and sending unit, orignal rear bumpers that were rechromed. All new wireing harnesses, new tailight assemblies, headlights in grill area, has LED turn and park light strips, Interior is all new, has customized Z-06 seats that feel great, has an original telescoping column that was restored, has an ORIGINAL YES ORIGINAL TEAK WOOD wheel that looks awesum,, new USA -6 I believe for a radio custom kick panel speakers. all gauges were NOS, clock was rebuilt with the quartz conversion. Has a aluminum radiator with a thermostaticaly controlled pull fan engine has been run maybe 2 hours so far, sound great with the chrome hooker headers and sidepipes./ I am sure I have missed many items but again like I said this car was built for me so I touched every nut and bolt, 17" rims with new BF-Good rich comp sport-2 tires, fronts are 235-45ZR-17 and rears are 275-40ZR-17. The body was customized sometime in its life with a 67 one piece front nose assembly with radiused wheel well openings and small spoiler on rear, I like the look, different from everyone else.the body has small cracks, plenty of chips, paint is fair, excellent from 20 feet, Again I like the patina. The only thing left to do is get a 4-wheel alignment .Other interests are the only reason for listing, will come with only a Bill of sale, no title. Almost forgot, it does have a real nice convertible top assembly that needs to be recovered that I have not gotten to yet so that would be included with your color choice of white or black top. I have an original 1967 black vynal hardtop that is not included but is available for extra $$$ in very nice condition or a standard white top in good condition also for extra$$.Good Luck
