1956 Chevrolet Custom made El Camin, made from a 4 Door Hardtop in the 70's in California,I purchased the 56 from Sacramento in 2008 and imported it to BC Canad, it came with a tired 327 engine and a powerglide trans.I just bought a complete 57 Chevy frame with the following parts, Builder Stated he had all the work done and Spent over $18,000 to do all the work and he said there was maybe 10,000 miles on Everything.Low mileage driveline, Engin, Trans and rearend new Leaf springs,2" Drop spindles CPP disc brakes CPP 605 Steering box, I Did-It Tilt steering column,Rear swaybar installe, Newer gas tank with Brand New sending unitAll New Brakes lines, New Fuel ilne front to back, Traction bars,15 x8 Corvette Ralley rims with( New) 275-60- 15 BFG tires on the rear and 245/60-15 BFG's (used 90%) with 15 x 8 Ralleys on the frontfrom a friend and Installed it in the 56 .Here's what was installed in my 56 Chevy383 Chevy Smallblock Stroker motorTurbo 350 trans with shift kit and mild stall converter New Speedo cable was installed, But Speedo Doesn't Work at this Time, was working before ?3rd Member was fresh rebuilt with 3.55 gear, non posi, as were axle bearring and all new rear brakesAir shocks on the rear and Gas shocks up front, I just did New lower Ball joints and rest of frontend was done before, Drives Tight and straight.Drive shaft was new at same time as rest of workHooker headers with 2 1/2 inch exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers with Magnaflow 3 inch tipsAlumnium Hi Flow rad with Electric fan with auto controlerMSD Billet Dist and MSD 6 Box, MSD coil and MSD plug wiresEdelbrock Air-Gap intake with 750 Edelbrock carb, 4inch K&N Filter, Edelbrock Chrome low profile valvecoversBrand New Hurst 1/4 stick shifter installed with Neutral safety switch wired up56 Runs and Drives great, Steers and Stops real niceLots of powerNo StereoGlass is good except front windshield has a crack on lower passenger side, but I have a brand (New windshield) that in included in the sale.Body is Soli, rear quarter panels are wavey where rear doors were welded up,but rest is straight, Local bodyman looked at rear quarters and said not a big deal to fix up and straighten rear panelsAll lights and signals 4 way flashers wor, back-up lights are not hooked upWipers work properlyNo heater system installe, Have original heater parts to go with Sale of the 56BFG tires 275/60-15's on 15 x 8 Corvette ralley rims on rear and 245/60-15's on 15 x 8 Corvette rims on the front with trim rings but no center capsOver all this is a Very Cool Project that needs Your finishing touches or Drive it the way it is,Very Cool to advertise your business or tow your nostalgia Dragcar at the track?I hate to sell i, but it will just sit in my shop till next year and I would rather see it be driven
