Chevrolet C-10 1967 Description
1967 Chevrolet C-10 Stepside 2wd
Trucks story: Purchased out of NY 5 years ago and then off my neighbor when I realized they were not going forward with this project. Started working on this vehicle 4 years ago. Vehicle came off of frame and the following was done in a friend’s garage over the course of a year:
A 1987 donor truck was purchased and the front end was swapped out giving the truck PS and PB (Front Disc and Rear Drum). The 1987 rear end and leaf spring assembly was also used as the trailing arms were unrepairable. The 87 Rear End also gave the truck better highway gears. The 67 frame was in very good condition so it was scraped, sanded, rust proofed and painted. The body was completely disassembled and the following were replaced:
Front Fenders / Inner Fenders / Radiator Support / Hood / Windshield / Rockers / The Bed is off an early 60’s step side.
Then the truck was painted in the original color, with added metallic, in sections to assure complete coverage and reassembled.
The engine is a 250 straight 6 with a single barrel cab and electronic ignition. It was pulled, gasketted, cleaned and painted.
The original 3 speed on the column was removed and replaced with a 350 automatic for ease of driving.
We then added new hardware where needed including:
Dash components / Door Handles / Trim Pieces / Radio / Heater Assembly / Heat Pump / wipers / rubber / stainless rear lights / and on and on….
The Gas tank was removed cleaned and replaced / New upholstery
The bed was replaced with an Oak Kit including new hardware then sealed. We went around the rest of the bed with Liner.
This truck was then driven daily for over a year and is extremely reliable. I cannot express enough how much a pleasure it is to drive and is an attention getter. Please remember that this vehicle was set up to be comfortable daily driver and not a show truck. I would go anywhere in this vehicle. You will likely see things you would want done or replaced. I made this vehicle to suit my wants and it has been a pleasure.
Please see the pictures and feel free to ask questions.
We can gladly help arrange shipping.
