Chevrolet Impala 1963 Description
1963 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport 2 Door Hardtop283 / Powerglide
Numbers Matching Engine and transmission.
Car was stored in a shed since 1981.
Same owners since 1964.
The car is in "as found" condition.
I have not cleaned anything, but I did wipe off the front seats, and lightly swept out the carpet.
The Black, bucket seat interior, is insurprisinglygood shape.
It is going to need athorough cleaning.
The headliner needs replaced.
I installed a distributor cap, rotor, points, andcondenser, along with plugs and a new coil.
I connected the fuel pump to a gas can, poured some gas into the carb, and fired right up.
It actually runs very well, without odd noises, or smoke.
The tranny drops right into gear, forwards and in reverse, andmoves the car with ease.
The car has no brakes, so, it will need to be hauled.
Everything seems to work, including the wipers, horn, interior lighting, and even the radio!
The car has rust, it is filthy, and the exhaust system is shot.
However, it is complete, and with the exception of brakes, functional.
The tires are seemingly new Michelin Radials, bu, I have no idea how old the are.
I have several pictures, and can take more.
Please feel free to call, or text with any questions you might have.
The car is for sale locally, and could end without notice.
I can deliver within 400 miles of St. Louis, MO for a fee.
I am not reallyinterestedin trades, but, I will listen to offers.
Thanks, andgoodluck!

In response to some questions I have had, this is what I have found.
The floors are actually not too bad. A few of the braces will need repairs, as well as the drivers side inner rocker panel, but the pans are pretty good.
Most of the existing body panels can be used / repaired. The hood will need replaced. The car was repainted at one stage of its life, and is peeling off now.
All of the glass is intact, and nice. The windshield has a few scratches. The car had a rear mounted antenna, and it is laying in the back seat.
Hope this helps....
