This car may be titled in any state like a regular car or truck, that the title is valid and transferable, no need for any salvage inspection. If you look at the report it passed inspection years ago and got an "R" title, which is ready for circulation without any further action.
1987 Chevrolet R10 Custom Deluxe with 75,000 miles on the odometer. It has a carbureted 305 V8 engine, automatic 3 speed, and rear wheel drive. The truck starts up nicely and runs really well. Exhaust system is quiet also.
There is one rust hole in the driver side floor pan, rusted from inside out. The damage seems to be pretty isolated to that part of the cab. The rest looks really good. I took photos of the floor pan inside and below.
There is some body work/rust repair in the cab corners, bondo but never painted.
The truck has been repainted and looks respectable.
This truck could be driven away with some repair: The right from caliper is stuck in the "open" position, so the truck pulls left when you brake. The driveshaft is from an 89, I installed the yoke from the 87 on an 89 driveshaft. Length is correct, it works. But the result is that I have to swap the correct size u joint caps on the rear universal joint.
The transmission leaks fluid when parked. I suspect a bad pan gasket but have not had the truck up on a lift to see.
The truck has been sitting for over a year and there may be other problems, but as far as I know the major components work well. Please do not ask me if the truck will make it to Wisconsin or Idaho on its own power, that is impossible to call and depends entirely on your ability to fix anything that breaks along the way. I could drive this thing anywhere without any worries, but that does not mean you should.
Please send me any questions using the "ask question" link below.
Thanks and have a great day. As-is final sale, buyers are encouraged to come see the truck prior to clicking "buy now".
