Chevrolet Other 1952 Description
HelloThis is a 1952 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe convertible in Honeydew Yellow with a maroon interior. As you can tell she is in good condition and is a daily driver not just a garage queen. Some notes:The good:Factory 216 engine has been replaced with a "full pressure" 235ci engine from 1954.New top (April 2015) new top actuator hydraulic pump relays and lines (May 2015) -- ready for Summer!Converted to 6V alternator system. New Napa 6V commercial battery.Gets 20mpg all day long13 gallon fuel tankGauges all workNew radiatorChrome is good all-aroundHood has been nosed and is in excellent shape.Trunklid has been deckedWide whitewall tiresMatching Chevy hubcapsEngine does not smokeMakes good powerExcellent glass all-roundTags just paid through 2016.1COOL52 custom plate included in california blue. Eligible for period orange plates from DMV.Classic Insurance through Hagery is $360/yr for 100/300 liability plus $35K stated value coverage. Other insurers are even cheaper.A favorite at local car shows! The bad:The original tube radio is included but it doesn't function. There is a specialty shop/museum in Seattle that will repair these original radios or you can get a transistor radio replacement. We just bring a Bose bluetooth speaker along. Tube repair is ~$400 a new radio ~$600If you stomp on it in reverse there is some noise from one of the U-joints in the driveshaft. It will probably need attention in the next 5 years. It doesn't interfere with driving in any way.The chrome appears to be delaminating underneath the front bumper. It may need rechromed at some point. You wouldn't see it if you weren't looking for it.That's it. A great driveable classic.Tons more photos at imgurThis car really does get waves and honks and iphones taking photos wherever you go -- it's just friendly to be around. It drives easy simply with no real bad habits.Let me know if I can take you for a spin. Car is in Playa Del Rey.- Mike
