Chevrolet C-10 1986 Description

For Sale 1986 Chevy Silverado Step side 2wd truck it has a rebuilt Chevy 350 motor and a rebuilt turbo 350 transmission. The motor is out of a 1979 Chevy Camaro with only 25xxx miles on it. It was freshened up with the crank turned .010 .10 and new rings and bearings and oil pump Comp Cam split lobe design Dual energy camshaft and lifters and timing set. The heads was milled .010 for a bump of compression and new bronze guides installed and a fresh valve job. Transmission was rebuilt and a B&W shift kit installed as well as a new torque converter installed. New u-joints in drive shaft and new seals and bearings in rear end. It has all new brakes as well as new rubber brake hoses. New wheel bearings in front as new seals. New master cylinder and new brake calipers in front and new wheel cylinders in the rear with all new brake pads and shoes. Suspension was dropped 2inches in front and 3inches in rear with all new lowering shocks at all 4 corners. Truck was a 68xxx mile original rust free garaged grandpa truck. It was originally a wide side bed; I purchased a new step side bed kit and replaced the wide side bed. I removed tail gate chains and installed hidden hinges. I installed custom LED tail lights as well as a steel roll pan. The rest of the truck is all original gm sheet metal except I installed new cab corners. Did not really need them but I did not want any issues down the road with these areas where these trucks are known for typical rust. New paint and new interior seat headliner door panels and carpet. Sound & heat shield was installed under carpet. Dash pad is original and it has 2 very small cracks. I replaced the 2 outer gas tanks with a 25 gallon blazer gas at the rear of bed with the filler inside bed floor. I have temporally installed treated plywood for a bed floor. I have bed rails but could not afford oak bed wood just yet. I have converted the cargo light to a 3rd brake light. All the gauges work but I installed a trio set of mechanical gauges as well just to keep tabs on the new motor. It also has a new radiator and new tranny oil cooler. Truck has cruise tilt and A/C. which all works great. Even still has original radio in it and it works. It has new eagle alloy wheels and new tires but comes with original rally’s if you want them. Truck was built as a driver to enjoy cruises and car shows and it is a real head turner and has a nice rumble thru the new exhaust on it.
