selling my 1966 'matching numbers' 427 Chevrolet Caprice...beautiful body, ecent interior (needs redone IMO)...I have done plenty of research on this car and as far as I can find there were only 50 of these cars made. This would be an awesome addition to a real Chevy collection. I would say this car is in 80/100 shape overall. The body is in great shape, ut needs a fresh coat of paint & the interior looks ok, ut the front seat has been replaced with a different seat that matches in color, ut is obviously not original. Do your research on this car...apparently there were only 50 427 Caprices made that year and that leads me to believe (by the VIN) that this would be #43. I can send more pictures or videos if you need me to.
SO...I have been SWAMPED with questions and sorry I haven't been able to get back to everybody, ut I decided to add a few pictures and a little more about the car... First and foremost...YES. YES it is a numbers matching car. I posted a picture of the engine block hoping you'd be able to see, ut the picture didn't show up very good. It is a DALLAS TEXAS car (Arlington) and has been a Texas car its whole life. This car is rare and there are no others to 'compare' it to as far as value. I have other vintage cars that are insured through HAGERTY VINTAGE and they appraised this car at $18,690 the way it sits. I was told that if I found an original front seat that would easy change to $20k+. I have this car for sale locally and I will consider trades or partial trades. Thank you all for your interest.
