Chevrolet Chevelle 1965 Description
Running and driving Malibu project car with lots of potential. 350 V8 engine with a 350 Turbo automatic transmission. Engine runs good and does not smoke. Drives decent and has all of the gears. Equipped with power steering, eaders, luminum intake manifold, barrel carb, hrome valve covers and air cleaner. It is a non-air conditioned car with manual drum brakes and a 10-bolt rear end. All of the glass is good. The trim and bumpers are intact and not in bad shape overall for the age of the car. I don't see any evidence of the vehicle ever being in a hard collision but there is rust to deal with. The frame and rockers are good. The front and rear seat floor pans have minor rust that looks like you could repair instead of replacing the pans. The doors have minor rust but look pretty solid as far as the lower inner structure goes. The left fender has a rust hole in the lower rear of it. The right fender does not show anything. There is some pretty significant rust in the quarters, uter wheel houses, uter trunk floor extensions, ail pan and below the back glass. There are two quarter wheel arch rust repair panels that come with the car. I just purchased this car to resale, o I do not know any more about it than what is listed here. I have a clear and clean title in hand (Kansas residents have to pay 9% sales tax). Car is being sold as a "Project" car and buyer will be responsible for picking it up in SE Kansas. Please ask questions before bidding. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit will be due through Paypal within 48 hours of auction ending. The remaining balance will be due in "cash only" when car is picked up within 7 days of auction ending. I can possibly store the car a little past the 7 days to allow for transportation arrangements but I will still require the balance to be paid within the 7 days of auction end. This is a NO RESERVE auction. Thanks and happy bidding !On Feb-27-16 at 19:35:47 PST, eller added the following information:After a lot of questions on the VIN, I found out that this car is an original SS car that came out with a 6 cylinder (4th and 5th digits of VIN are "37").
On Feb-29-16 at 06:29:40 PST, eller added the following information:Ok...I just had a response from a Chevelle collector that changes what I saw from a website. That website said that if the 4th & 5th digits were "37" it was a 6-cylinder SS model and a "38" is a V8 SS model. I went to another website with a VIN decoder and it says the car is a V8 Sport Coupe. Anyway, ere is the whole VIN so that you can determine what it is for yourself. Thanks. "136375K166951".
