1950 chevy truck with running 235 engine & 2 speed rear end with hoist Solid !

Selling some of our Family collection to fund some other projects and restorations !

Up for auction is this 1950 chevrolet truck.

This is a really solid old farm truck.

It has been coverted to a 235 engine & has a working dump hoist with a 2 speed rear end.

Truck has had the seats redone at one point and interior looks great inside. Some of the glass may need to be replaced.

The bed on this truck is made by Giant MFG .

Doors open and close nicely. A few of the door handle splines are stripped so you will need to install a window regulator and door latch actuator on driver side door.

We recently cleaned the carb really well and then went ahead and started the engine with a small lawn mower tank and the engine runs great. we had it running for over 10 minutes with no problem and it idled good.

For some reason when you push the clutch in the truck will shift into gears when the engine is running but when you pop out the clutch the truck does not move. Im guessing that maybe the 2 speed rear end is possibly stuck between hi/low range or that the truck will need a new clutch disc before you can drive it.

Also the brakes will need to be checked and serviced. currently the brakes are not working.

Roof has a fewdings/dents that need to be smoothed out and the cowl area in front of the door hasa dent . (very common for these old cabs )

We also noticed the long pieces of lumber under the dump box should be replaced. 1 of the boards has a crack and when you lift the hoist you can see it. Probably not too hard to just get a few fresh beams and put them under the bed.

Payment terms: We would prefer not to use paypal for payment on this truck. If you have no other way to pay except paypal we will accept it but prefer not to pay the PP fees if possible. Cashiers check or cash would be preferred. We are allowing 10 days for payment so that you have plenty of time to get the check in the mail. Check must clear our bank before we will release possession of the truck.

We can store thistruck on our property for up to 60 days and maybe a bit longer than 60 days to give you plenty of time to arrange transportation . If you need longer we can probably arrange that as well but would prefer that it is picked up in 60 days or less.
