Chevrolet C-10 1980 Description

This truck is a true survivor. It isa super rareoriginal Oldsmobile diesel "350 D" powered work pickup. Not many of these rigs survived their first few years (or months in some cases) with diesel power even asa coveted luxurious Silverado model let alonea plain jane work truck like this one is. It was built in 7/80 and is a 6200 GVW model with a TH350 transmission and 3.08 gears. Recent improvements include: New head gaskets with ARP head studs, ebuilt injection pump ata local certifiedStanadyne shop, ew batteries and cables, ew glow plugs, ebuilt starter, front wheel bearings, ub/rotor assemblys, oaded calipers andfront brake hosesin the last 200 miles. I did change therear slider window for a solid window, eplaced the rear painted step bumper for an original GM chrome step bumper, eplaced the painted grille for an OE '80 Silverado chrome grille and the hubcaps are from a '75 Scottsdale. All changes were done for my personal preference only. The truck runs and drives reallywell andhandles like a 55k mile pickup. It has been a fun project for the last several years but I've lost interest in it andhave always been more of a 6.2 guru anyway. It does leak some engine oil, ransmission fluid and it likes to have it's engine block heater plugged in for a few hours before starting butgood luck finding one of these that doesn't! The only real rust is on the left front fender, he right rear fender and on the engine fire wall. Some work is needed on its electrical system (it's not charging and glow plugs are under manual control) before it can be a regular driver. The CB and 2-way radio plus related equipment do not go with the truck. I do havea lot ofextra parts if interested: many are discontinued GM NOS parts, n early '90's GM Goodwrench 350 diesel complete engine with 27k miles, set of (D3 I believe) heads with pencil injectors, ntake manifold, njection pumps, njectors(both poppet and pencil), njector lines, new brass/copper radiator still in the original box, low plugs, sensors and relays, ilters, askets, he trucks original build sheet and vintage Washington truck license places to name a few. Please email your questions and come see the truck and parts in person.
