Chevrolet Corvette 1964 Description
Here is a great looking and great running 1964 Corvette A/C coupe. When I bought this car from the previous owner he had started a restoration on it. Already completed was the bottom running gear the brakes were all new new hoses and master cylinder brake shoes and wheel cylinders. The gas adjust shocks were new all the u joints on the axles and drive shaft were new. Sway bar and A arm bushings all new ect. The gas tank and sending unit were new. The exhaust was a new chambered system. The body had been stripped down to the fiberglass and the interior had been removed. I completed the car over the next three years. I had the body painted in PPG two stage paint. The color is a 1966 color called Mosport green and draws attention and complements every time I drive it. A new maroon interior was fitted; the speedo tach and stock radio were rebuilt with the radio having an external hook up for an external music player I.E. smart phone or mp3 player. The car is a factory A/C car and all the components of the system were all rebuilt or replaced. The A/C now runs on R134 and blows cold as it should. I had all the chrome redone. The car also has power brakes and power windows. The transmission was replaced with a 5 speed tremec for highway cruising. The engine is a 327 that I had rebuilt with the 2.02 valve heads 10.5:1 Keith Black pistons the stock 365 horse intake and the stock 365 horse Holly 2818 carburetor. This thing runs like a bat out of heck on premium pump fuel with no other additives. All wiring harnesses were replaced as well as all the light housings and bulbs. The headlight motors wiper motor and power window motors were rebuilt. The interior received three coats of lizard skin insulating paint as well as a layer of hush mat under the carpet. The wheels are genuine 1966 issue American torq thrusts. I have enjoyed this car for just less than four years now and it has just under 4000 miles on it since the rebuild so there are many years of enjoyment left for someone else to have. Serious buyers only please I am a very busy person these days and can’t waste time on tire kickers brokers flippers ect.
