For every generation there is an iconic car and for mine it was the Stingray. Although we’ve had great time together and I’ve brought her up to a higher level it’s time to move on to my next conquest. This Stingray was born with more options than most…. factory A/C. power windows. leather Interior and the iconic T-Tops all borne out by the tank sticker that I retrieved when the original gas take was replaced with a proper reproduction. The original motor and transmission are installed. Just 2 years ago I had the motor rebuilt as a 383 stroker and chose a mild cam so all the vacuum accessories operate correctly. Along with the rebuild I installed an HEI distributor that’s compatible with the original tach and an aluminum radiator with thermostatically controlled electric fans. The a/c compressor and lines were replaced 4 years ago and operate well. The power windows work properly and the clock is now a correct quartz version and spot-on. The audio system was updated with a well-made. factory style center bevel and a modern radio with aux port for cell phones as well as modern speakers in the dash and rear. Again. all of the original items have been kept and will be included. The leather interior is the original color and in great shape. The front suspension has fresh springs and bushings as well as an upsized sway bar. In the back I have the fiber glass spring kit with all new bushings and arms. A four wheel alignment was completed and the stance is ideal. The suspension is adjustable to your style and ride preference. Again I have all the original parts for the car. A known weakness in this vintage is the frame pockets. Part of the reason I chose this car is that they are perfect. I’m not aware of any rust on this fine Southern specimen. Off season the car lounges in a climate controlled shop with a couple high performance stable mates… I’ve enjoyed driving this car and appreciate the upgrades. This car needs nothing other than a good friend to care for it. I have had this beautiful car for 7 years yet recently have expanded my interests in other areas that better suit us as a family. After all. there are only 2 seats… The car is ready to go and I wouldn’t worry if you flew in and drove home.
