Chevrolet Camaro 1967 Description
1967 Camaro RS Z28. This is a real deal, ocumented by Jerry MacNeish 67 RS Z28 with factory applied, ever removed trim tag. This is a worthwhile, ighly desirable car. Jerry appraised restored value to be as much as 180k. I am thinning down my collection by selling a few of my project cars. I feel that I'm within reason to state that this car is 1 of 1 because it is the ONLY marina blue with white deluxe interior 67 z found per Jerry. Usually 1 of 1 applies to ugly, unwanted color combinations. Marina blue, hite z stripes and white deluxe interior on a rs z will make for a very pretty car. The last I was told, here have only been approximately 225 67 z28s found in total. This was a very early car in the registry, umber 98. Car is a rally sport, owl plenum car with no gauges and no console. Very rare 3.31 posi, erry said possibly ordered as a road race car. Obviously was some sort of race car at some point in its life. The car was sold new at JR Rode Inc Newton, J per ncrs report. This dealership is still open. I purchased the car 15 minutes away from where it was sold new. The gentleman I purchased it from had it about 25 years. He disassembled it and began replacing sheet metal. He installed a new trunk, ew inner and outer wheel houses, ew frame rails, 2 piece floor (I was going to remove and replace with a 1 pc.), ew rockers, ew dash panel, ew tail panel (incorrect non rs), oth full quarters, nd a new panel at the bottom of the rear window. Some of this metal had flash rusted due to lack of primer. Nothing that I think would need replacement again, ut use your own judgement. I sandblasted and painted the sub frame and loose fitted two new fenders on it. The previous owner also had the original 3.31 rear rebuild. This is all that has been done. Keep in mind, his car needs and deserves a complete restoration. The car does roll and steer. The fenders, ood, tc are just quick fitted on to allow for easier transport. This will need taken back apart, nd again, ill need a total restoration. All parts should fit inside the car for shipping.Drivetrain: ( Car was built May 5, 967 per ncrs. 05A trim tag)
Engine: Standard bore, eady to build, atching numbers MO block. 0322MO. This block is also in the registry. I had to purchase it from a separate owner, ut it is noted by Jerry to exist and is the matching numbers block for this car. Still has original broaching. Also included is the correct crank. No other short block items included.
Heads: Bare, eady to assemble correct 462 dated B17 and B27
Rear End: QK0223G1. 3.31 posi with traction bar mount. I do not have the traction bar, ut I do have the original floor plate.
Trans: The previous owner took apart the original muncie to rebuild, o I may or may not have all pieces. You will get a box of muncie parts, ut most importantly the original, ndamaged main case is included. Dated P7D14. April 14, 967
Intake: the original 610 intake dated 3 10 67. Note: This needs restored as well, as the center divider missing.
Carb: The car did not have a carb with it. I purchased a 3910 carb here off ebay dated 743. It appears to be in very good condition. Does not have the original metering blocks.
Distributor: The car also did not have a distributor with it when I purchased it. I bought a 266 also off ebay dated 7A25, hich Im told would have been the correct date for this cars build.
Radiator: Jerry verified it as having the original radiator, D dated C 1967. It will need recorred and completely restored.
Wheels: It has (3) DF rally wheels on it. I do not have a 4th or a spare.
I do not have any of the cowl plenum set up. I dont have inner fenders. No radio, indshield, ack glass or door glass. I do not have the 4 piston calipers. It had 69 style single piston when I bought it. No front bumper. I dont have the correct steering wheel. Im sure there are lots of other items missing to make the car complete. I have taken pictures of included. I also plan to add other pics.
This car is being sold AS IS, here is. It is being sold as a non running, roject car needing a complete restoration. Mileage on the car is EXEMPT, Title is CLEAR and free of any liens. You are encouraged and welcome to inspect the car by appointment DURING the course of the auction. After the auction concludes, ll bids are legal binding. A $500.00 non refundable deposit via pay pal is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Full payment via bank wire transfer is due within 7 days of the end of the auction.
