Chevrolet Nova 1964 Description

Here's a classic car that fits in with any crowd. This 1964 Chevrolet II Nova has a nice clean original appearance and a seriously sweet upgrade under the hood. So everyone from traditionalists to hot rodders will find something to like about this coupe. The trick to building an effective street brawler is to keep it low-key. Almond is not a paint color you get to see come out of the 1960s too often, ut this factory-correct hue has a very modern look. Of course, t doesn't hurt that the paint's true potential was brought out during this Nova's restoration. Now the sparkle from the body perfectly complements the pristine chrome bumpers and grille. There are many Chevy II's out there in the field, ut not many as clean and straight as this one. Make no mistake, his car is something that can be driven proudly to any event of your choosing. Born as a true Nova, hich means it was built to the premium standard. Today it wears SS badging and crossed-flag emblems to subtly hint at what's now hiding under the hood... but we'll get to that in a minute. The interior will have people doing a double take at local car shows. Chevrolet's grocery-getter Chevy IIs were not usually known to have premium interiors, ut this two-tone Fawn is sedately first-class. There is a perfect blending of the dual hues on the vinyl seats, oor panels, nd the steering wheel. Even the carpet is a mix of both colors. It's this kind of uniform appearance that make real enthusiasts take notice. Just about everything else is a throwback to 1964 right down to the heat/defrost controls and the original AM radio. One piece that was quietly added on was a set of auxiliary gauges for the water temperature and oil pressure. Under the hood is the beast we've been hinting at. 1964 was an important year in Nova history, ecause it was the first time the factory offered the V8 engine in these smaller, ighter cars. So while plenty of Chevy V8s could fit under the hood, he original-style 283 cubic-inch motor just feels right. Of course, his wouldn't be a sleeper without some serious upgrades. This legendary small-block now has an Edelbrock Street Dominator intake, performance chrome air cleaner, luminum valve covers, nd a big Holley carburetor. When you lay into this motor, he result is quite a sweet symphony of brutish force from the dual exhaust. Getting the power to the ground is a 10-bolt rear end connected to 14-inch rally wheels with Goodyear Wingfoot tires for exceptional modern grip. While all of this makes for a nice performance coupe, his Nova is also a cruiser at heart. The Powerglide automatic transmission and power steering means this car is a joy to drive whenever the mood strikes you.Nicely documented with the original warranty card, wner's manual, nd restoration receipts, his is not only an awesome sleeper, ut it's also an awesome collectable Chevy.
