Chevrolet Camaro 1967 Description
This 1967 Rally Sport/Super Sport Camaro was built the third week of January in 1967 at the Norwood Ohio facility. Presented in FF-Marina Blue (metallic) with White interior. The L35 396ci produces 325hp at 4800 rpm and has 410 lb-ft at 3200 rpm. Its back by a M21 Close-Ratio 4-Speed Manual Transmission. This Camaro came with a 350ci engine originally but has been replaces by a date code correct 396ci engine. Other options include (A01) Soft-Ray All Tinted Glass(C08) Vinyl Roof Cover(C50) Rear Window Defroster (Sport Coupe(D80) RPO D80 consisted of the front spoiler or more accurately the front bumper valance panel extension is shown to be available on the V8 models only. The RS package included a blacked out grill with hidden headlights revised parking and tail lights upgraded interior trim and RS badging. The SS package included a modified 350 V8 with an available 396 big block producing 325hp and later a 375hp version along with simulated air-intakes on the hood special bumble bee striping and a blacked out grill. The new Camaro was introduced as a 1967 model and by the end of the model year 220906 Camaros were produced. The 1967 Camaro was hugely successful and this one model represented almost three percent of all car sales that year. The new Camaro came in either a sports coupe or a convertible. The sports coupe was available in three versions: the base model the Super Sport and the Z/28. The convertible was available in base trim or as a Super Sport. The Super Sport was the ground pounder model. The 1967 Camaro SS came standard with a 350ci V8 that produced 295hp or optionally a 396ci big block V8 that produced 325hp or 375hp depending on the version chosen. Appearance upgrades included â??SSâ? emblems simulated hood air intakes on the hood and a bumblebee stripe on the front of the car. Other performance upgrades included upgraded suspension larger tires and stiffer shocks. Sales came in at 34411 for the year. This 1967 RS/SS comes with the(D91) Front End "Bumblebee" Stripe(N33) Comfort Tilt Steering wheel(N34)RPO N34 Sport Styled simulated walnut wood-grained plastic steering wheel(PW8) F70-14 Red Stripe Tires(U63) AM Radio(V31) Front Bumper Guard (V32) Rear Bumper Guard(Z22) The Rally Sport option could be ordered on any model and consisted of hide-away headlamps special blacked-out grille parking lamps moved from the grille to the front valance backup lamps mounted under the rear bumper instead of incorporating them into the tail lamps included the RPO Z21 style trim package. The Rally Sport package is noted on the trim tag by the letter "L" in the group 3 option code. The hide-away headlamps were electrically operated where 1968 and 1969 hide-away headlamps were vacuum operated(Z23) Special Interior The Special Interior option consisted of bright pedal trim bright pillar moldings and bright roof rail moldings on the coupe. This option could be ordered separately or in conjunction with the Z87 Deluxe Interior(Z870 Deluxe Interior The Deluxe Interior option consisted of deluxe vinyl seat trim special molded door panels special steering wheel glove compartment light hood insulation trunk mat sail panel lamps and rear armrest with ashtray on the coupe.
