Chevrolet Other Pickups 1970 Description
Trucks don't get much better looking than this 1970 Chevrolet C10. While once regarded as little more than tools, this one is proof that they also make wonderful hobby vehicles that look great and deliver practical performance. This neatly done pickup features a built 350 under the hood and a wonderful two-tone color combination that's a fitting tribute to the original. We sell a lot of these trucks, and there's no sign of that trend slowing down. It's easy to see why, because these trucks seem to combine a vintage look with square-jawed ruggedness that's pretty hard to beat. On this C10, the bodywork was redone in Hugger Orange and Ermine White, so there's no point in trying to be subtle, but the workmanship is so good you'll be happy to show off. It's a very stock restoration, nothing has been shaved or deleted, which only shows you how great the original design really was. The all-steel body is in very good condition with a fairly sizable investment in bodywork and paint, but the results are worth whatever it cost. All the original trim was freshened, including the stainless strips that stretch the length of the body and a clean factory-style grille cleans up the nose. The bed is decent and protected by a spray-in bedliner that's color-matched to the bodywork, and you can see that it's already been used as a truck so don't fret about putting this one to work. The cool black vinyl interior is neatly done and pretty stock, so you know exactly what you're getting. A new black vinyl seat cover is the biggest upgrade, but there's also a fat wood-rimmed steering wheel that looks like it should have been on the options list back in 1970. The door panels are black to match the seats, which helps soften the truck's working-class roots, although the orange doors add some flash. The original gauges are faded and the instrument panel has some flaking paint, so if you're looking for a place to start your upgrades, this is it. Other upgrades include an AM/FM/cassette stereo head unit, power steering and brakes, plus an aftermarket cup holder that fits neatly in the center of the dash. Black rubber mats on plain steel floors aren't glamorous, but it means that you can still get some work done with this truck. A rebuilt 350 cubic inch V8 rumbles under the hood, and by sticking pretty much to the factory specs, it looks highly correct. There's a big Holley 4-barrel carburetor living atop a matching intake, plus a set of finned valve covers, but otherwise it feels like it might have in 1970. Recent work includes a power brake booster, a fresh alternator, and new belts and hoses, so you can drive it immediately without a lot of extra work. The transmission is a TH350 3-speed automatic driving a 12-bolt rear end, so the drivetrain on this truck is virtually bulletproof. The suspension is original and needs nothing and the dual exhaust system with glasspack-style mufflers adds a lot of fun to your daily commute. Chrome steel wheels with baby moon hubcaps and 235/75/15 radials really fill out the wheel wells and give it an aggressive look.Nicely finished inside and out, it presents quite well even though it's mostly stock. With a bit of finish work on the interior this truck could be very special, but even as it sits, it's ready to have some fun. Call now!
